Bloomingdales has a bunch of caruso SJs and suits that are 40% off, but they are doing a presale on an additional 20 or 30% and then stacking a coupon on top of it. A friend of mine bought a suit that msrp at just a little over $2k for around $750. Good selection of fall and winter weight stuff but also some nice shirts and pants.

Would be interested in this. Did they hook him up with presale / the coupon at the store or did he have to arrange ahead of time?

Also, anyone check out the GANT Sample Sale?

At Saks today... in the 7 to 9 range (which is where I looked) they had:

* Tan suede cap toes (I bought the UK 8.5 E - still several similar sizes left)

* Black leather balmoral wingtips (Malvern?) in 8.5 E (would have bought them if I didn't already own them)

* SEVERAL sizes of a brown medallion toe version of this: http://robbreport.com/sites/default/files/styles/8col/public/images/articles/2013/02/146719.jpg?itok=w7IWJGIf (I'm not sure what to call that hybrid longwing/balmoral look)

* One pair of a very chunky blue suede blucher on a Dainite sole in UK 7.5

* One or two pairs of a standard brown penny loafer on 184 (Montpelier?)

Now that I've gotten what I need... you guys have at it!

That's an actual balmoral as opposed to just an oxford.

Dropped into Century on Saturday and they still had the Carson Street Clothiers items (about 12-18 pieces left still. Nothing of interest to me. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Did pick up some Corgi socks for $14 though.

Thought these were dice on the socks, turned out they were skulls. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Pretty disappointed by the Polo sale. Just about all the Purple label was gone by the time I got there this afternoon.

I'm surprised considering the first day is only 65% off (at least from previous years). Was there any purple label in the larger sizes left?

C21 had a very good selection of staples yesterday from Isaia.
Suits around $1500 and shirts $199 - albeit not "cheap ass" SF pricing.
Quite a bit of Mr Porter inventory. I picked up some Boglioli Pants for $100 pair.

Which location was this and did you by chance leave behind any pants or were there only a few to start?

1st day was 65% off blue label and all the pants / shirts, 70% off purple and black sc, outerwear and suits. I chatted with a few of the sales associates and they said the amount of inventory this year was just very low in general, especially on the high end stuff.

There was some purple label outerwear and the typical knits, sweaters, short sleeve polo shirts etc. I did see a staple blue purple label suit in 44R that was very nice, but did not look at any larger sizes. Nothing in 38R - 42L

Thanks for the heads-up on selection. Was feeling a bit bad that I couldn't get over there yesterday but given that it's only a few staple 40R I'm after it seems that I didn't miss much.
