Manhattan Sales Alert!! - Page 320

Did anyone get any sport coats in 38R at the soiffier haskin sale they changed their mind about and want to get rid of? I missed this one sadly.

Question:
If I have this question is it more appropriate to post it on the want to buy forum? I realize I'm not posting about a sale, but people would probably respond via PM so doubt there would be a tangent in the theme.

Paul Stuart have cordovan dress shoes on sale (oxford), one is like reder than #8, the other one is like cigar/brown, made by Carmina according to the SA. They're going for something like 488, and available in many size. I didn't buy it because it's too dressy (austerity brogue balmoral), I prefer Cordovan on more casual style.

What discount was the hickories sample sale last time. Kinda want to ask my brother to go but he doesn't have much interest in what they sell minus Gitman shirts and maybe the hill side stuff

Justin, I think the second one was AS. I don't remember the heel pattern, but the size tag looked like it. They have way more shoes in store than online.

In person did the black boots look nice or not really? I wish I lived or visited NY during sale season

The second boot with the tweed is made by Alfred Sargent. I purchased a similar pair with a medallion in chestnut calf.

The B&M Barney's sale was very good with regards to shoe selection. They had the John Lobb Vale in black discounted to $650-675ish. Sizing was limited, and it's on the 7000 last. The discontinuation of G&G was confirmed by the sales guy I spoke to (Ahmed). Most models were in the $450ish range. Small sizes (& & 7.5UK) have been depleted.

My damage included a pair of captoe JL monks (last pair in 7UK). They had three other pairs of JL on discount, though only the monks are in brown.

no wonder why they were discount the way they are. Bloomingdale carried EG for one/two season couple years back as well, think they more or less end up the same situation, though without the heavy discount...

Is this online only or in store as well?

They carry a loafer which has a much fuller ankle than the 73.

They also stocked a spectator on the 71, and a semi-brogue blucher in an antique burgundy in the 71.

There were also two boots included in the sale.
