Suits ranging from Brookease thru Golden Fleece were about 199-399 along with alot of outerwear. I also remeber seeing alot of Black Fleece clothing.

I would assume that this sale would be for the summer/spring warehouse inventory. I would suggest getting there early because the first few days are a madhouse.

Yes. It says that it's Spring/Summer clearance with expanded selections in some stores. On Madison it's women's only.

Here it is:

Last clearance wasn't so hot...more of a mess than anything...and the BF was only bigger sizes.

I had a good time at the Barney's sale. S&H leather jacket for $315, Bixby oxford shirt for $30. Browsing was fun.

Thursday afternoon at Barney's warehouse sale: Outerwear, accessories and some sportcoats 50% off. Shirts, shoes, ties and most sportcoats 40% off. Suits still 25% off. There has been restocking in most areas. .

At Barney's suits were marked to 30% off and shoes to 50% off. I didn't pay much attention to the other stuff. Seems to be a lot of stuff there for a last Friday.

Just returned from the BNY warehouse sale. Heavy crowds, but to be expected on the Friday pre-Labor Day. In addition to the above, sport coats 50% off, accessories 75% off, pants 50% off. Here's my quick summary:

Suits in 42 and 44 were plentiful in terms of quantity, pitiful in terms of quality (lots of BNY house brand, but not the Caruso stuff, lots of Burberry, HF, Boss, very little Isaia, Battistoni, etc.).

Shoes were about the same - long on quantity, short on the good stuff (from sizes 11-12 I spied perhaps 2 pairs of C&J (including a nice pair of snuff suede chukkas), 3-4 pairs of Lidfort, some B&V and Peluso; lots of Coop and other house labels, Buttero, Paul Smith, etc.), although I was able to pick up a nice pair of Heschung tan oiled suede chukkas for $100, down from $600.

Ties were the same story, although to me, BNY house brand at $10-$15 per tie is pretty much a no lose proposition.

Best of the areas I frequented were the sport coats, where there was some pretty good stock left, at least in 42 and 44. Managed to pick up an Isaia half-lined and Zegna 100% cashmere, for $425 and $375, respectively.

Should be plenty of stuff (perhaps less interesting in terms of quality) for the madhouse this weekend...

kind lazy to go, I assume it's pretty much junk for smaller size guys (36/38)?

Went this morning. Discounts were the same as on Friday. This is the first Warehouse Sale I've kept an eye on, so I'm not sure if that's normal or if they drop them further later in the day.

I didn't bother with the suits and coats because those aisles were dense man-canyons. Shirts, trousers, ties, accessories: anything not picked over probably has some sort of damage by now.

Anyone know if Barneys took further discounts on Monday? Last I saw suits were 30% off, dress shoes 50% off and sportcoats 50% off.

BTW, there was a 100% cashmere navy 2 btn blazer from Kiton (sz 42L) that was 2095 down from 6995 or so. Anyone snag it? It's still over a thousand with the discount at 50%, but it was nice...

I'm a little surprised by that--suits topped out at 30% off.

Did you guys score anything good? I dropped in Friday afternoon and left empty handed, but my wife got a nice dress for 93% off.

I saw some C&J suede chukka's that seemed nice, although a bit narrow. I hemmed and hawed then eventually decided against it. I was looking to pick up a tie for a wedding later this month but I didn't see anything worth buying.

Both my girlfriend and I left empty handed...

I was at Bloomingdale's yesterday and saw that they had several small racks of shoes at 50% off already sale prices. There were some decent shoes on sale however I ended up with a pair of Swims overshoes for $33!
