No, but I instantly think Bollywood and lots of dancing and colorful garments.
Haha this guys teaching me how and what time desi weddings are to be run. My man, we're in America... I worked with maybe a handful of clients whose wedding lasted more than two days. We're not in Punjab where people can take off from work for a month and celebrate their wedding. Check the prices of a normal priced shehrwani and a simple tux. You'll be surprised with the price difference. Oh, and lastly, kiss ******. I didnt originally make this thread to talk crap to anyone, but seems like i have a taker who wants to get bashed, so im running with it.
and I believe that is Raveena Tandon in the pics above?
They look like Halloween costume parties..
Anyway, I attended a barat( the actual traditional wedding vows between the bride and groom) this morning and it was a sight. Half Indian/ half British groom marrying a Guyanese girl. lol the Guyanese women were wearing almost nothing while the Indian girls were wearing too much. Both sides looked very pretty nonetheless. The Indian men were wearing shehrwanis, but they were virtually the same because the Brits shopped for them together. Anyway, all in all the reception is tonight as well. As I stated earlier, it is a common to see the wedding and the reception happen on the same day. However, there is a mendhi the night before and a women's gathering the night before, known as lady's sangeet. its like a bachelorette party. There was so much drinking at the reception... well for the time I was there.
