Polo shirts - Wearing with collar UP

I personally despise seeing a collar worn upwards on a polo shirt, unless it was just a mistake. In England some people seem to have the idea it's cool to wear it up. Especially Jack Wills. The worst thing is now people wear TWO polo shirts with BOTH collars up.

I saw someone do that today, looked horrible. Worst bit was the kid was really skinny so the second collar ended nearly at the end of his shoulders. It wasn't even a polo shirt under a knit polo jumpers, it was just 2 ordinary polos.

I think you know the answer. Wear a one collar up, you're a douche. Wear two collars up, your a douche squared.

This is one of those trends I've never understood. There are some styles/articles of clothing of which I'm not fond, but I can see where some people might like it. There are also some where it doesn't really work for me, but some people can pull it off. The popped collar thing is neither of these. In my opinion there is not a soul alive who can pull this off; it is ubiquitously douchey.

I've seen it a lot in the japanese blog of kishida days. I usually like the looks they show, but the collar up is terrible.

Although I'm not a fan of the look, it can be functional. This past weekend I popped my collar to protect my neck from the sun. I don't like popped collars, but I dislike having a redneck even more.

It gives me comfort and some wind/sun protection. Same goes for jackets or coats.

The only time it MIGHT look okay is if you are on a yacht.
