Hi, My second post. really hoping somone can advise on this one. I have a 70's style very soft leather tan jacket. It is a lovely jacket except that the lapel doesnt sit right. It sits great on a hanger but when I wear it the lapels dont sit where they are supposed to. Its kind of like the points of the lapel are moving out toward the shoulders and the inside part of the jacket (behind the buttons)is turning out. I took it to a local tailor and he thought it was because the leather hadnt been glued together inside the lapel but he also gave the impression he didnt have a clue what to do.
Anyone got any advice on what is causing this (I thought for a while it may be that I have one shoulder slightly higher thn another but I dont have this problem with cloth jackets) and if it can be fixed.
Also if anyone knows any good tailors in central scotland that can work with leather it would be appreciated.
