Headed to NYC in a couple of weeks and haven't been in a few years. Looking for some dining options for lunch in the Village or Soho.

Pearl Oyster Bar or Mary's Fish Camp are great for seafood in the Village. Lupa is a nice lunch for Italian. Otto is great if you want Pizza and Antipasti (this is probably my #1 choice for lunch) Tomoe Sushi or Blue Ribbon Sushi are good for sushi. Mesa Grill is always great for lunch as well (a bit north of where you are looking to eat).

Sullivan Street Diner. The ratings for the place are outrageously positive and it is in SoHo. Just google it.

In the West Village: Ino, Little Owl, Snack Taverna or if you are looking for cheap eats: Westville, Hummus Place, Grey Dog are all good

Get in a cab and go over to the Lower East Side to Katz's. It is close enough to make the trip to such a landmark, unless you have already gone.

I like Tartine in the West Village, it's traditional French bistro food, but they have great food preparation and always fresh. I also like the place and location very cozy especially during the summer when you can grab a table outside. Other than that dim sum in Chinatown.

I have had some good lunches at Takahachi Tribeca, but that was several years ago.
