I have talked about Tom Ford before, but IMHO, I think they are over priced for their style.

I'm feeling the clear these days. It isnt too popular and chances are it's a bit too edgy for most, but I like it. I am juggling the idea of getting a pair for myself as regular glasses but thick dark frames are my signature look so I don't know how that will make out. Anyways, I'm not sure where to get them but I would do them.

Can anybody comment on the quality of Moscot? Anybody know where they are made?

Thanks for this!

*ANNOUNCEMENT*: I really enjoy people asking me questions, answering them and learning like everyone else who is interested in this thread but please.... - Do a search in the thread, the same questions are asked over and over again - Do not ask me where to buy what, I have not and will not buy anything from online stores because I can source most frames myself. - I really enjoy answering technical questions regarding prescriptions; designs and uses of materials; bang for the buck products and so on. I don't want to sound all

BUT I think people reading the thread would like interesting and NEW information as well.

hey, i'm pretty sure this hasn't been answered. at least, the search function doesn't give any results. if it has, ignore this.

Do you know anything about a brand called L.G.R sunglasses?

This is the first time that I have seen this brand or heard of it. I don't know how old they are, but I haven't noticed them before. They claim they are hand-made in Italy, which basically means they are made by machine and they are polished and inspected by hand. I don't know what their retail price is but judging by the places that carry them, they aren't going to be cheap. They seem to be another "classic" frame manufacture which seems to be a big trend these days. In terms of quality I have no idea but they do use cellulose acetate which is a good step. When I am at the next trade show I will keep an eye out for them.

Hello,

I have a pair of prescription sunglasses from what is probably the 80s. It was my dad's. They're tortoise color, and say "Esselarc 86" on the left side of the temple, and "Frame France" on the right side.

Do you know anything about these frames?

I haven't heard of that frame. Does it say Essilor? I can't recall if they made frames, but if it from that era and made in France, chances are it was well made with thick hinges. That seems to be the norm from what was made in France. Sorry I can't be of much more help.

My hunt for new glasses continues:

The last one is my favourite one. What do you think? Does this style suit me? I wished to be described as an easygoing intellectual. The hair is in the process of getting grown out. I want at least another few inches of hair. I was talking to the salesman in the second photo so thats why I look a bit crazy.
