I pointed this out to both the optician I got it from and the guy who owns the company, and they made little of it. I also wrote about it on my Yahoo Ken's Eyewear Club forum, and someone commented it should go away. It didn't, however, and in just less than a year I found the tiny fissure in one eyepiece and had to replace it (which Lunor and my optician graciously took care of). It was judged as a "manufacturing flaw."

I don't know if there's a connection or not, but my new Lunor frame does the same thing. I mentioned this immediately to the gal I got them from and she tried to assure me the clicking is just because the frame is new and "it will go away." I'm a little uneasy.

What have youre experiences been with frames that click? Do you see a possible connection?

Where does it click? The temple hinges or the rim of the frame?

Didn't bother reading through 108 pages. Are you an optician as well? I'm an ABOC, and have worked at big box to mom and pop, wholesale labs to 1 hr labs. It is good to see another person obsessed with glasses. I joined to look into some info on some vintage glasses.

I am by trade. Life has taken me in several directions but I still work in the industry. Hope to see some of your thought in the threads.

94NDTA: I too am glad to learn of someone else "obsessed" with glasses - at least within reason, so to speak. I tell people I'm "an eyewear afficinado."

Perhaps you'd like to join my "Ken's Eyewear Club," that's one of the thousands of Yahoo Groups. Very easy to join and I can certainly use people who want to post their opinions and experiences regarding the world of eyewear. For a while now too many of the posts have been my own, making it too much of a personal blog. Interaction is surely preferable. It goes back to 1999!

Guess the other sunglass thread gets no love.

Hey, CityConnect, do you have any experience with L.G.R?

What "sunglass thread?"

Hi CityConnection. I have been viewing your posts for a few months now and want to thank you for your endless knowledge share on eyewear. I've been a regular buyer of RayBan and MJ over the years. In the last month I've decided that I want to try a different shape (more rounded or Wayfarrer than my past rectangular frames) and a frame that is more classic in style. I'm basically looking for a pair of sunglasses that are well built and will not go out of fashion anytime soon.

I recently bought this Persol PO 2961 (90 day return policy). I love the build quality, color (tortoise), weight and trying to get used to the new shape. I think the frame size is 48mm - http://www.persol.com/international/...2961S/811-31#b. I'd love to love these glasses but they seem to be a bit big for my face. As an expert in this area, what would you suggest for me and my face shape? Do these fit me?

I've included some pics below. Sorry about the reflection on the lenses Any help or guidance would be really appreciated.

PS: I've also been looking at Mascot Lemtosh and similar. I'll be in NY next week and plan to pay them a visit.

I like how Persol puts their hinge-esque mechanism on their temples. It's one of the few useful trims on a frame now a days.

In terms of this frame fitting on you, I'll be blunt and honest. They look too feminine. They cut up too much and make them look cat-eyed on you. Personally, I would like to see something a bit more sqaure in the bottom temporal side. I think that upsweep makes it look feminine. Even having a rounded square would be okay, but they just sweep up too steep. It may be a unisex model but just not the "perfect" model for you.

Also, just the fact that you are asking our opinion after buying it says that you aren't satisfied with them either.

my 2 cents

I haven't had any long term experience with them so I wouldn't be able to give you an honest and accurate description of LGR.

Thanks either way. Seems no one has had experience with them. Blind buy then.

Cheers City.. I really appreciate your great advice. I'll take your ideas with me to NY next week and see can I find something more square with flatter bridge. All the best, Epic

Hello,

I usually wear size 55 in Ray Ban Aviator 3025, so which size of Ray Ban Wayfarer 2132 should I look for?

Thank you in advance.

Where does it click? I'm afraid I can't answer. It just clicks, particularly when I first start wiping the first lens with a cleaning cloth. Guess it's the lens. Hinges should be top-notch. They are one thing Lunor is famous for and very retro and look great.

Oh. I didn't think you were referring to my Yahoo eyewear forum but I wasn't sure.

Hi CityConnection,

I'm looking for a new pair of glasses, and I'd like something like the pair in this image:

What would you recommend that is along those lines?
