hey all - i am putting all my suits for sale in this thread and creating a new thread for sports jackets, so i can manage the sales easier and hopefully improve your browsing experience. please contact me via PM if you have any questions, and also please visit my sports jacket thread! thanks NWT Belvest gray Super 150’s suit, tailored for Bergdorf Goodman. Size 40L. The color is a beautiful dark gray/charcoal with double pinstripes that almost look like a chalk stripe from afar. The Super 150’s fabric is super-soft and drapes very lightly and beautifully, but is rugged enough for normal everyday use without wrinkling or creasing excessively. The jacket has very nice lines and drape with excellent waist suppression. Belvest really needs no introduction on this forum but I can’t help it. The jacket is 3 button, side vents, 3-roll-2, notch lapels and flap pockets with full canvassing. Basting stitches are still attached and sleeves are unfinished (buttons are included). The suit is tagged as a 40L. Chest 21.5”, sleeve 26”, shoulder seam to seam 18.5”, length BOC 31.5”. DROP 8. The pants are flat front with triple closure. Waist 34”, rise 11”, inseam unhemmed at 39”, width at knee 11”, width at leg opening 9”. Retail price on this beautiful suit is a cool $2,995. It’s yours for $700 shipped to CONUS - NOW $675 $625 $600 $575 $550. this pic came out lighter than the true color: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NWT Valentino Tailoring (made by Isaia) 42S gray suit with very subtle darker gray windowpane. 90% wool, 10% silk. SB, 2-button, single vented jacket and flat front pants. Jacket: Chest 22”, sleeve 25”, shoulder 19”, length BOC 29.5”. Pants: Waist 34”, inseam unhemmed to 33”, leg opening 8”. Retail for this suit is at $2,195. I am asking $600 NOW $570 $560 $550 one of the sleeve buttons is unattached (you can see it in the first pic). i do have the button though, and of course i will ship it with the suit, or sew it on if you prefer. i just want to avoid confusion since you might be thinking that either a button is missing, or the suit has functioning buttonholes. the buttonholes are non-working. this last pic shows that the suit is made by Isaia: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NWT Kiton Diamante Blu Super 150’s glenplaid suit. Size 52R EU, or 42R US. This suit retails for $5,695. It's yours for $1000 even - including shipping. PRICE NOW $950 shipped - SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NWT Ralph Lauren Purple Label dark brown suit in size 46R. I am asking $850 shipped for this suit that retails for $3,995 - SOLD!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- xx

^ thank you i've been doing research on going prices for similar items, and i think i've originally priced the suits too high, so i'm lowering the price on those significantly. all these items except the cashmere HF fit me well (or will with a little alteration), so i wouldn't mind keeping what doesn't sell. i'm just trying to see if the market will help me prune my overstuffed wardrobe and subsidize the cost of the items i end up keeping.

guys, i'm adding a gorgeous Kiton 100% cashmere sports jacket to the list. i purchased it for a family member, who just now decided that it didn't fit him. so i have to sell this FAST! $650 OBO. also, in reviewing the measurements of the Valentino/Isaia suit it's more like a 42S than a 42R. sorry for the mistake, and i've revised the listing.

gents - i've received a couple of questions via PM inquiring as to why the Loro Piana jacket is priced relatively highly compared to the other jackets and compared to it's MRSP. i believe this is a fair question, and one that i hope you'll permit to address publicly since others may be wondering as well. my pricing strategy for NWT items is very simple - it's based on my cost. if i get something at a super deep discount, i pass that on when i sell to other members. i did not get the Loro Piana at the same % discount as say, the Kiton and the Brioni sports coats, so i can't pass as much savings on to you. nevertheless at more than 60% off retail, i think the price is pretty competitive. in the interest of full disclosure (perhaps too much), i will disclose that i paid $487 including tax for the LP jacket. if you pay me my asking price of $550, i will clear $523 after paypal fees and USPS Priority shipping. it's up to you whether you decide my trouble of finding this wonderful item, packing it with care, and shipping it right to your doorstep is worth the $36

to answer your question i measured this against a few 42R jackets that i have - the shoulders are 1" to 1.5" smaller. i think you can take in the sides, alter the length of the sleeves, etc., but you probably couldn't take in the shoulders by that much....so much as i would like to sell you 42R guys this jacket, i really wouldn't recommend it. almost everything else on this thread will fit a 42 though

Forgive my ignorance, but what indicates that the Valentino was made by Isaia (the red stitching?)

Thanks

i started a thread when i bought this suit some time ago (read it here) because the jacket label looked exactly like the label from an Isaia jacket that i have. i've subsequently had a number of very reliable forum members corroborate that this line (Valentino Tailoring) is made by Isaia. our friends at eHaberdasher also have confirmed that Isaia has been making these clothes for Valentino - they actually are selling the same suits on their site, crediting Isaia as the maker. other than the label, the cut is very similar to the Isaia signature cut.
