Help with job application process

First off let me say I am a lurker for 3 years, and first post. I have a little problem I am looking for advice on and had nobody to turn to. Since many of you I listen to for clothing advice and I know some of you have higher up positions at your jobs maybe you could help. I will try to give you a simple timeline-

- Laid off in Feb
-Had a pretty good interview with a company I would really love to work for in April. I was the 2nd to interview for the position and I believe 4 total interviewed
- I followed up with a phone call about a week later, no decision was made. Ultimately someone else got the job
- The job was relisted online a couple weeks later. I called the person who interviewed me and said that it didnt work out with the person he hired and they wanted to see more resumes, but that he had already pulled mine out from before. I gave him the " i am still very interested, think I would be a good fit etc etc
-2 weeks go by and no call. I assume they had hired someone else
- Today the job is listed again online

So what should I do? Accept they dont think I could do the job? Call again? Email a letter stating my interest still, work ethic, etc etc? Any other opinions , options?

Keep in mind I am running very low on funds and this job would change my life big time. It is an excellent oppurtunity for me and I really need this

Thanks in advance

Marc

I'd move on and here's why. The past applicants did not meet their needs or expectations and they wanted more resumes which means your chances are none. Its happened to me.

Good Luck.

Hmm..tough situation. I would write a letter or an email again stating your qualifications and interest. Since you already did one interview, maybe it was something during that interview that they didn't like. Maybe a statement saying that you would love to have another opportunity to interview again for a position might help. At this point, by writing to them, you have nothing to lose. Persistence might come off as a good thing...

Good luck.

What are you losing by calling them again? Nothing. Just don't get your hopes up.

Thanks for the advice so far. I know I have nothing to lose, and I have already drafted a letter to email. I will wait for more advice and responses because the office is closed until Tuesday morning. I guess its 2 fold for me....This is the first job that I interviewed for that I wasnt given, so maybe that is an ego thing for me. Second I know I can do this job and the interview went I would said an 8/10. And I hate to beg but its desperation time for me
It really would be a great oppurtunity for me. Even if I was working someplace else I would still pursue this job heavily. The fact that I am almost broke(literally) makes me want to push more.

make sure you are currently collecting unemployment if you so qualify for it

I am but once they take taxes out of the unemployment its pretty much 35-40% of what my take home pay was....

Update...Well I emailed over a very well written, 3 paragraph letter....If I do not at least get a response after that, then I give up
