Buttoned. I don't feel like wasting my tailor's effort in shaping the jacket.

Buttoned, otherwise you lose the look the jacket was tailored for.

Buttoned, much sharper.

Buttoned, when wearing a tie (which is probably 70-80% of the time). It looks better, and really, who wants their tie flapping about in the wind?

Unbuttoned, when going tie-less. I find that the formality of a buttoned coat contrasts oddly with the casual look of an open shirt collar...

In my opinion, one mark of a well-made jacket is that it looks good whether you have it buttoned or not. It helps to already be a slim guy, though.

Buttoned standing or walking, Un-buttoned seated or relieving myself (obviously).
One exception for me..
If I have just run for a bus or train and over-heat, I'll take the jacket off entirely until I cool down.

I do both, depending on mood and size of my previous meal.

Mostly buttoned, but sometimes forget.

Unbuttoned in warm weather. Buttoned when weather permits. This is why I don't like DBs in summer.

Wearing a tailored jacket unbuttoned when you are standing and walking about defeats the whole point of wearing a tailored jacket. You might as well be wearing a bloody windbreaker!

Generally I want to wear mine unbuttoned suits because I think it will show my personalty.If you have good personalty then must be go for unbuttoned suits.
