Do you prefer your coats buttoned or unbuttoned

I generally wear mine unbuttoned.

I prefer buttoned myself. Keeps it from flapping around when outside.

In the summer, rumpled and unbuttoned. In the winter, buttoned more often than not.

Tom Ford said that he goes around parties buttoning guys jackets. (He says) It is the one thing that guys can do to look instantly slimmer.

Not that I need another reason to dislike him, but geez.

I prefer buttoned. It looks cleaner/more put together to me. Even a well-fitted coat looks big to me when its hanging open

That said, on a hot summer day here in the South my stylistic preference often takes a back seat to my desire to find anything I can to make me a bit cooler, so unbuttoned is far from out of the question.

I voted incorrectly.

While I often (and lazily) wear my jackets unbuttoned, I have to constantly remind myself to button the damn things up. It just looks better.

Buttoned. I rarely wear mine unbuttoned.

Unbuttoned when I want to look like i'm dressed but comfortable with it. Sometimes keeping it buttoned up just makes me look and feel a bit stuffy
