Fok, does it fit real tight in the chest when you have the second button from the top buttoned and is the waist tight at the second button from the bottom? has it stretched or softened up a bit with wear?

If it fits you tight in multiple places, you probably have size too small, or its just not the right fit for you. It has softened up considerably. I never do up the buttons, but just did, for you. It fits comfortably at the waist, and is a little taut through the back when I button up the second button from the top (who ever does up that button? For me, the shoulders are perfect.

Pretty sure they are just the normal chinos

Hey does anyone know who manufactures RRL boots? I'm very curious.

The RRL officers chinos keep losing weight. I have them from a couple of seasons back and they weigh in at a hefty 11oz. I have the pair from last year that I bought for the Blake contest, and they are 10.5oz. The most current pair are weighing in at 9.23oz. I think the regular chinos weigh in at around 8.5oz Less distinction by weight, but it may be that the officers are still selvage while the others aren't.

Yeah, I must admit the I was surprised when I received mine. I wish they were heftier but RRL lured me in.

Everything from last year was made by Julian (except for the brogue Bowerys). All the stuff from this year is being made in the UK, not sure by who.

I am curious about that. The new boot pictures you posted a few pages back still show Made in the USA on the boxes. I know there was talk of using a UK company for this season, but is it possible that RRL is using a UK brand that is manufacturing in the USA? Or maybe the UK company fell through when RRL decided they still had an inventory of boxes to work through?

I'm not sure the real story, but it would seem there is still some untangling yet to be done regarding these new boots.
