I held off saying any more than what was said last week
to give him the chance to come clean and figure out a path forward to make everybody whole.
Last week he claimed that '90% of people got their goods' whereas the list compiled by Rayson shows the opposite - maybe 5-10% got their goods and the rest didn't - a classic fraud signature.
He also claimed to be leaving his job anyway in 2 weeks in early October and told everybody he was doing them a favor of getting the discount before he left. He also said he had cancer and solicited the purchase of Pink Pony cards, none of which were ever received by anyone who contributed and felt bad for his supposed predicament.
Along the way, he's popped up to say there was a PayPal issue, RL warehouse issues, and various other delays. All the while he took more orders. When a month passed with no goods arriving for the 90% who ordered, he showed up again and claimed he had been assaulted and thus couldn't answer emails or PM, and yet, he spent a good deal of time detailing his 'story' in a loooooong email with not a mention the order status for anyone. He also didn't update ANYONE voluntarily and when asked and continued to claim to both me and Dave_SFU that the goods were ordered and to be ‘patient’ with him because of the problems he was having with PayPal. In my case, my order was sent to his supposed mother’s email and he said that it was transferred overt to him, so the PayPal problem should not have affected my order. He also received my order in early October and I told him not to wait to bundle orders because I was afraid the jeans I was ordering would sell out and I didn’t want to risk that happening. He said they were ordered, not to worry (my size has since sold out with the sale and I can't get them any longer). I have PM’s and emails to prove all of this. He also claimed throughout much of this that the RL warehouse was also causing problems and sending the wrong items and he had to sort it out. The list of excuses and stories would make Bernie Madoff blush. How many of you actually think now that he has cancer? Or was assaulted?
If the PayPal lockdown was the real problem, why did he tell everybody the orders were still being placed because BillmeLater was being used to place them? There shouldn't be any orders that weren't placed and the only problem he should have had was getting his father to front the money because the funds in PayPal will eventually be unlocked.
There is a paper trail a mile long for all of my interactions with him and the same for the rest of you and I mention this because it makes it very easy for all of us to get together and file fraud claims if the period of being 'nice' ends. Frankly, I'm close to that point now because
his actions are speaking louder than his words. I thought I’d give him the weekend to say something. He didn’t.
To add insult to injury, a week after placing the order RL announced it’s 40% + 15% off sale, which meant that we were paying a proxy fee to him for orders when he knew we could have received the same goods for less. As a testament to how nice we all are, I don’t think that any of us asked for refunds when the sale was announced (why pay a proxy fee for nothing?), and I guess we figured we were helping him out pay for future medical costs, if he did truly have cancer. That was my rationale anyway.
He’s been given the best possible treatment by all of us this entire time. We couldn't have been more patient, more sympathetic to his alleged situation
I asked JimmyFingers on several occasions to get my early October order processed and shipped so I could decide whether to order more during the sale. There was plenty of time to do it, assuming he was being honest. In my case, again, my money WASN’T tied up in the PayPal issue, he had it free and clear from the day he got it in early October and I have the PM’s to validate it. He said it was ordered and to be patient with the shipping.
Many of us got double screwed because JimmyFingers never alerted anyone to the order ‘problems’ while the RL 40% + 15% sale was still going on, so many of us lost the opportunity to get what we wanted, trusting the first orders to go through. He KNEW the orders hadn’t been placed and yet again failed to say anything despite many of us asking right up until the last day of the sale for status updates. I lost out on my order because it sold out in my size.
JimmyFingers, the ball is in your court for the last time. Do the right thing. At this point I don't know what you could possibly say to stop fraud claims from being filed so we can protect ourselves as best we can.
The bottom line is this: you were given money plus a handsome proxy fee to simply place orders. Somewhere between there and here the money disappeared and you now claimed you're broke in emails to Dave_SFU. That constitutes theft. Unless the money is returned.
At a minimum, the money I sent you should be returned because it was never embroiled in the PayPal lockdown. You admitted you got it and used it to place the order. Did you really? There should be no problems for my order - either return the money or send the goods. Otherwise it proves beyond any reasonable doubt that all of this was a sham. The amazing amount of goodwill displayed by members here toward you is quickly running out.
