haaa, im debating whether I should do that same. Considering the RRL peacoat over the RL one since its 100% wool. I cant do artificial fibers. Let us know how the mailbag turns out. I was debating that one myself

EDIT - RRL peacoat isnt included in the private sale? discount showed up on other items but not the peacoat

Think RKD got it when that 50% code leaked a while ago.

yes correct ... it was during the VIP 50% off sale not during this private/public 40+15% kicker sale

I was wondering if RL would put new merchandise up after the sale cleared out their inventory and it does seem that new pieces are showing up online the day after the sale ended

The military later switched to melton wool, which is what you normally see in vintage stores today and while nice, it isn't as wind/water resistant due to its looser weave. The RRL repro kersey wool is thicker and effectively repels Chicago winter winds that tear through my other wool coats. It doesn't drape as well as finer wool due to its stiffness, but for wind/rain/snow resistance it's like woolen armor.  Layered with a sweater I've never owned anything warmer.

How does it fit compared to the RL Academy?

Interesting. I was actually considering getting that peacoat a couple of days ago.

But on second thought, after knowing your measurements, it might have been a good idea that I didn't. I'm 5'6/120lbs and don't plan to layer since I live in SoCal; it might have just been a little too roomy for me as I like my outerwear snug.

This is kinda confusing since I find the XS RRL shirts kinda tight through the torso
