Sorry if I'm blatantly misunderstanding this sale here, but two rookie questions:

1. How do you get onto whatever list hooks you up with a code like this? I've only gotten into RRL somewhat recently, so I'm definitely out of the loop on this.

2. Is this stuff on sale in their stores now without a code or do you need to have whatever code they sent you to buy in store? With the private pre sale ending Nov. 2, does that mean that in-store stuff will be discounted like this starting Thursday?

Again sorry for the dumb questions, especially if they've been addressed.

1. You just need to purchase stuff directly from RL; i.e.: in store or online. They'll ask for you email address, and then start sending you coupons. I don't know how they manage the different sales and how "good" of a customer you need to be to get the private sales invites.

2. You need a code to get the sale prices before Nov 2. I think the 40% off will be available to the general public starting Nov. 2; but the pre-sales people will have already picked over inventory. The 15% kicker won't be available then.

After looking through the RRL pre-sale, it seems most pieces are of "imported" origin. Does that mean made in China? The few exceptions were the denim jacket and the two blazers.

RRL really knows how to make made in china look good. also apple does wonders with made in china tongue.gif

does Ralph Lauren in Chicago carry RRL? If so, does anyone know if they'll have stuff on sale? I'm heading down to Highland Park tomorrow and if they do it may be worth a trip into the city to check it out.

Here are a few codes that worked, but are now expired. You fools can figure out how to hack them, I'm sure.

If you are really interested, all you need to do is switch out one or 2 numbers. You can code it up fast, but for something simple like this, where you can't enter things automatically, it's easier to just go the brute force method.

Yes. Michigan Ave. has a dedicated room for RRL. The Polo Factory store in Aurora also has RRL from time to time.

can items purchased with this discount be returned should they not end up fitting? Doesn't say no returns but thought it might be worth checking.

^edit- nevermind, found their sales return policy online....looks like you have 30 days to return.

LA Guy - thanks for sharing.....took me 3 tries to come up with a code that worked....but I feel a little bad using it in case somebody has a plan to purchase something on that code and finds out their code doesn't work....hmmm, moral dilemma .
