Is this guy have any idea what he's talking about?

I'm pretty sure it's 100% legal to sell it on eBay as long as you don't say you are an "official" reseller.

Was the guy doing it on purpose to try to intimidate you? It seems a little presumptuous get in a customers face about something like this, especially since you are doing exactly what the outlet stores were intended to do, clear stock and floor space of older items, its a major boon to all of us who don't live near a good outlet that guys like you put your finds on ebay.

I think he warned me indirectly. He was really kind to me, and I remember he said that "Thanks for clearing my stock" last month, and now I can't even shop comfortably.

I was little bit uncomfortable when he said that story to my face, maybe it's because a Japanese reseller guy who pissed the manager off a couple month ago.

It was probably some loss prevention guy. RL is huge on loss prevention, and I mean huge. Weekly quizzes, random questions from managers, etc.

No crime in buying something and reselling it.

Some of the larger outlets get hit hard with shoplifters working in teams. Entire stacks of of polos (15), stacks of jeans, etc. get taken. The teams are good and communicate with those Nextels.
They set up diversions and before you know it 1000s of dollars of clothing is gone. The theifs know there is nothing we can really do even if they are caught in action. The outlets don't have loss prevention depts like Wal Mart where they can stop you after you left the store. We aren't even allowed to accuse someone of shoplifting. Technically, you could walk into a Polo store, grab 20 Polos, and walk out.
They would call the local police, but you would be long gone when they show up.

For a mid level store, they have about 200 people on staff. 90% of these guys work 4-8hrs a week and could care less about thief's.

awesome ... we all now know to just walk into RRL and take everything tongue.gif

why is the site NEVER UPDATED??? the reason why i never placed an order with jimmy is ive been waiting for several items to come into stock in my size, ie charcoal chambray XS ... apparently every store in cali and nyc has it but online doesnt. then the infamous new black on black slim fits and the olive slim fits in 28 x 34. there are no stocked 34 lengths in pants in smaller waist sizes. i called the customer service and they said it is coming and just keep checking back. that was like 2 weeks ago when jimmy first started collecting orders and when a few of us were lucky enough to score 50% off with that VIP code.

LAME ... FML!!!!

I think they really are huge on loss prevention. The one that is closed to me used to get sucky RLX shirts for years but recently, they are getting strangely good selections.

This GM was an financial executive at Las Vegas Premium Outlet a couple years ago and he moved back to this location, Las Vegas one gets a lot of stuffs and some really good stuffs because it's tourist's destination and they are really strict about selling their merchandise to sellers. Maybe that experience influenced him.

Since you are a reseller on eBay, maybe you can help me understand something. You guys prefer to sit on items for X amount of time until you get your Buy It Now price, if ever, rather than to lower the prices and actually move the items? I know that outlets sell jeans for $13-$50 when it's 75% off and with coupons. So... in my, possibly naive, eyes, even doubling your investment isn't bad. Can you shed some light?
