thanks! I just realized that the cuff on the jeans is a bit off though. Do you guys have any cuff-rolling techniques?

These pants run big, even by RRL standards. The cut is relaxed throughout the leg giving it a loose, baggy look that I am not too fond of. I like the weight of the fabric though. Similar to canvas but much softer. I bought a pair from an SFer but decided against them because of sizing/measurement issues.

How "big" is the sizing? I picked up a 33x31. I am a 33/34 natural waist. Also, do you think a tailor could taper the leg?

I also decided to pick up a pair of RRL Low Straight denim in a 33x32. I have two pairs of regular RRL Straight Leg denim. How do the Low Straight size in comparison? Thanks again.

Those military chinos are gigantically relaxed. I got a pair in the same size as I take in RRL denims.
I ended up taking them in at least 1.5" through the butt and probably could have gone more but that was really the limits of my tailoring ability. I think the legs could go down an equal amount but I decided to just embrace the baggy and not mess with it.

They were cheap on ebay so I didn't mind experimenting with them.

Those older regulation fit chinos are pretty large. For a 33 waist, you should expect a 17.5-18" waist across and probably 9-9.5" hem opening (maybe larger).

Low straight vs straight leg is slimmer in thigh and leg and lower rise, maybe an inch smaller overall.

3. Ralph Lauren on bond street

the only problem is I can never find anything less than size 30...

That and the prices in UK being really expensive!

Big selection in Liberty though and the navy/white dots shirt that was in this thread earlier looks great - waiting for the next sale and hopefully some RRL will go in...thanks for Bond St tip, didn't see it in there when I was last in.

Other stores that carry RRL are End & Oi Polloi, both do phone orders.

EDIT - the Charleston Striped Pant is for sale in my sig. A little too slim for me. If anyone sees a pair in tagged 34 or 35, let me know. Thanks!

Namor are you still after the Charleston pants, saw these:

good to know, UK pricing are indeed marsupialed, and they don't have my size..., I have resort to buying from US ebay or here so far, though still wild guess on my size...

Bond street you just have to ask, sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't. I think they can always do order, but paying UK retail for RRL is..., well not something I won't do

I wish RRL wouldn't wash and distress their clothes so heavily. I've seen a few pairs of pants on Ebay that I'd like, but they look like someone has already worn them for two years...
