@RRL

maurizio has gone a long way since his days at outlander in miami and well for an old buddy of yours, you sure got a good way of dissing the hell out of the respectful brand he's developing ! anyways I could care less if he used to be manager at pizza hut, the fact of the matter is he brought his RRL/vintage experience to LVC, and now has the support of a company that allows him to do things the right way .. it's the way i wish RRL would evolve, take a read of this interview he did here in paris last month, i do think you'll maybe learn a thing or two, then again your thick headedness is on another level..

i won't even respond to the first part as we obviously have different politico-econonomic views on the situation, concerning italy, well it's my neighboring country i spend a lot time there, i think i am probably better informed than you are on certain subject matters yes. concerning the heritage brands i mentioned, i meant they were high priced in comparison to similar brands that outsource everything, not saying that they were out of reach to anyone. as to your silly implication that i'm somehow bent on anything american, that is utterly ridiculous, i don't even live there as you've noticed lol… oh and the welfare cheap shot.. you really sound like an internet bully man, why get so personal? you ralph's wife or son or something? i mean i actually like RRL a lot more than other brands out there, it's just surely they could do better..

If you think that is personal then you need to spend some time on any forum. I'm responding to your claims that treat everyone as a retards on this forum. I've lived in southern France, southern Spain and Barcelona, with quite a bit of time in Italy. One of my good friends worked in one of the factories where she got boxes of stuff from China and I've had Italian classmates in Spain discuss this issue as well. Again you believe you have more knowledge.

As for the high priced comment, you felt the need to insert in parentheses you can afford it, so I'm gonna feel the need to respond to it.

A quick excerpt on why everyone on this forum is attacking you:

"You're dead wrong": Clearly you did not expect me to put a basic economic defense because otherwise you would actually respond. I would still love to hear an explanation on just how one derives the keynesian multiplier. And you "ever heard of trade deficit?" That is like asking someone if they have ever read a newspaper.

"Laymens terms": you allude to the fact that you are more intelligent and that the rest of us retards need you to explain basic facts. France's situation is a lot bigger joke than the US for one so I'm not taking a cheap shot that is just a fact.

"You ralph's wife or son or something?" - you are directly asking for someone to respond to the question? How is this personal.

"above primates take example" - again, we are all a bunch of gorillas eh?

From other posts you have made:

"huge irony of comical magnitude" - others have already highlighted this point but if you make blatant comments like this people are going to respond.

"rappers" comments - I think you need to spend a little time listening to as Sarkozy calls them the "ruffians who dishonor France" aka Sniper and get your head into reality. Going by your Jay-Z comments I guess all people should stop wearing Purple label since Jay-Z mentioned that in one of his songs. I guess only super black ghetto gorillas that have no idea about economics nor the fashion world fits into this mold. And I guess almost all designer brands are out, since Kanye wore them before. And nobody gets LVC since nobody goes to any sample sales or Barney's warehouse sales anymore.

"relax kiddo / gif" - and you ask people why they are being personal. And the use of kiddo, I guess you are the wise old man while the rest of this forum is filled with kids.

/rant

To clee1982, of course there are a variety of ideas about trade deficits, our genius mugatu clearly believes that all other ideas are "dead wrong".

I think I prefer LVC to RRL, fwiw (and prefer EG and Post to either). Even the Levi's Made and Crafted line is looking pretty good recently - the f/w season has a pair of selvage chinos that I much prefer to RRLs version (and they're cheaper and made in Portugal).

Anyways, a number of caps popped up at my outlet today (and an amazing deck coat, but not in my size). I dunno if I'll keep the newsboy cap and definitely won't keep the baseball cap, but they had some neat stuff:

@Stevent

your jumping to all the wrong conclusions man, your persistency on deriving my comments into your own bizarre agenda is kinda creepy.. i think you must be some kind of wacked law student.. also your views on europe brought to you by your italian classmates or summer holiday or whatever is so naively stereotyped and misinformed i won't even bother going into it.. so let's just call it a day buddy guhnight errbody dozingoff.gif

It's my fault. I really wasn't trying to open Pandora's Box here. shog[1].gif

Anyway, so after looking around, I decided that a nice piece I'm interested in getting for this fall/winter is a pair of tweed herringbone buckleback trousers from the Holiday Lodge collection. Anybody own these? I see that they run large in the waist, but how do they fit in the thighs (I think somebody mentioned they'd rather deal with thigh measurements than geo-economics within the garment industry, so there ya go).

Also, does anybody know if this was part of a whole suit or just trousers independent and of themselves?

And one more question: how do you find out about the upcoming collections and the names of them? The RL website was vague but I did see they're finally opening an online store this fall.

Not trying to be a troll here (seriously), but is RRL one of the best, if not the best, brands out there? I was at the Barneys outlet store today and the RRL stuff I tried on blew away everything else I tried on there. As far as quality, color and fit, nothing beats RRL in my opinion. Truly worth the money imo, especially when on sale.

old news. I can see why you worship LVC and nutswing on Donadi like he's some sort of fashion maven (LOL). LVC will always be just another generic RRL knock off label that started in '99  in hopes of cannibalizing RRL sales. After only a few years it failed, meanwhile made in China RRL is prospering and opening an online shop to further it's global status and brand cachet.

It's obvious you are just a clueless kid who discovered fashion a few months ago. Good luck to you to sell all those hideous Lavin and Raf Simmons pieces.

I don't really care where it's made. I care up to a point i guess. But I'd rather pay $100-$200 for a quality piece from China than $500 for the same exact thing made in America.

I thought rrl shop was going to be the last whack job posting on this thread but more idiots have surfaced. fucks who only show up or stick around for a skirmish and are never seen or heard from again. please go back into your little internet holes and keep your fanatical opinions on the discussion boards of your local second rate news sites.
