Just bought a pear of low straights in raw. Looking forward to breaking them in.

NAMOR, unrelated question, who is in your avatar

I like some of the subtle "broken in" looks they've got, but others are way too insane for my liking. I'd rather have some that I've broken in versus the stretch that some of these have.

They look like you need to hem them to me, so you can just have one turn. I like a narrow cuff but usually err on the side of caution when I take them to the tailor, and so fail. Most things look best to me when they're a bit uneven but I dislike cuffs riding up loads at the back, which they often do. I have some perspective on this, I understand I'd feel more annoyed if, say, my house burned down, but it does annoy me.

Other stores that carry RRL are End & Oi Polloi, both do phone orders.
The Ralph Lauren on Fulham Road (last bit of postcode is "RL"!) has a decent bit of RRL judging by the photos on the Sanforized blog. I pestered El Duderino about something and he reminded me of this. Thousands of miles away and he helped point me towards London. I was in London this weekend, actually, and although I feel uncomfortable in places as exclusive as that shop doubtless is, I was excited about the idea of a quick visit. I'd have reported back, too. Turned out there was no time between falling out with somebody's extended family, so if anybody else can make it there without incident, please tell.

You get raw and sensibly rinsed and whatnot on eBay too, though.

Agreed--that fit looks much better than prev.

I love the RRL cuts and the denim seems really nice in it's raw state. I tried on the standard straight leg (looking for a mid-high rise) and loved it. But I've never seen any pics of RRL pairs that really aged well. Am I just looking in the wrong place? I know they are supposedly slackers in terms of fading and aging, which is okay by me, but I haven't seen any evidence that they ever really develop a ton of character. Hoping that I'm wrong because the straight leg is the perfect cut for what I'm currently looking for. If anyone has any great pics (or links to pics) demonstrating otherwise I'd appreciate seeing them. Thx.

they will definitly stretch. i had mine for about 3 weeks, they were skin tight, but now they fit comfortable.
