Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

That looks great, and I really like the tie. Didn't you (or someone else) pick that up for like $39?

I'm reaching a little, but since RRL doesn't do watches I had to go RL. Shirt and denim are RRL though...

Another one of the shirt. One of my favorites.

Finally, I am strangely excited about this: http://pagesix.com/2016/09/21/ralph-lauren-is-penning-an-autobiography/

Thanks!  I think it was another user that had picked it up off the website.  At that pricing it was a steal.  I had mine from a year or two back, it's a great piece.

a self-collar is a collar made of the same fabric as the shirt and attached with no separation (or "stand" as with dress shirts)...so with an RRL polo shirt it is made out of the pique material.  As opposed to the "RL Polo" brand polos that have an elasticized or ribbed collar.

For me, the self-collar looks fairly good when I first put it on ..especially right our of the dryer, but in a few minutes to an hour, it just kind of lies flat, limp, and kind of rumpled on my neck/shoulders and makes the v-neck placket area look extra separated and wide (unless I button it up all the way ..and that just looks bit weird IMHO)...

..anyway...my gripe for the day...just wondering if others are having the same experience...

If im a 32 waist in slim fit denim, should I go 32w or 33w in slim chinos?

I size the chinos (slim or otherwise) the same way I do slim fit denim in RRL.

Thanks a lot :)

Went to a wedding a couple weeks back....RRL pictured is the indigo sportcoat, selvedge tie, and officer chino.

Dig the entire look. How is the equality of their blazers. Think a lot of them are made in Italy?

Yeah the quality of the RRL tailoring line is quite good (as with most RRL a tad overpriced at retail, but good quality).  The indigo sportcoat is unconstructed but does have lined sleeves. The other RRL suiting I have seems to be quality (e.g. half-canvassed jackets) and well cut.

Another thing to note about the RRL suiting is in general the pieces fit very slim.

Some sizing variation should be expected - the patterns are typically drafted per stitch and even if hand knitters are using same size needles yarn etc there can be dramatic differences in finished measurements from quirks in knitting style and tension, especially with stranded colorwork.

I think he means the shortness of it

I find all Ralph Lauren sweaters RRL or otherwise to be a bit on the shortside. But going up a size doesn't do anything but make it short and baggy

RRL sales come along on a fairly regular basis. I'm guessing the next one will be in middle or late November. Last year's Fall sale started in the week of November 18.

I got these as well and am scared to wear them out of the house!

You're right; they're more like museum pieces. Simply amazing!

Anyone have an idea who makes these for RRL? The box says Maine so I'm guessing Wassookeag or Rancourt.
