Right now I've had an order stuck for a week or so because I think one item has to be shipped from a store and the other from a warehouse, so they need to get them together first. (Should have ordered each separately, but stock was running low on one so I immediately jumped on it.)

That's interesting, especially as it seems I am encountering the opposite problem as you, with one item being shipped and the other still in limbo. Weird also because the charge in paypal is still showing as pending but some came out for the 1 item that shipped. I've actually never seen that happen before. Thank you for the help as well, I appreciate it.

I've had RRL and even non RRL items ship from a store.
The items shipped from stores take longer to ship out.

Most everything ships from the warehouse in NC, and items not in stock at WH are shipped from a store if available. BTW, the website seldom reflects actual inventory at the WH (I have had at least a dozen, if not more, orders cancelled on me).

Thanks man I appreciate the help. Surprised such a big company doesn't have their stock and online system linked up better. I'm hopeful seeing as there seems to be a full size run of the item I ordered online.

yes, this is the lee gardens store that's now carrying RRL, the visual merchandising is just out of the context.

Tokyo has a standalone store since last year. Let's see if it folds as well cause it's the last international store.

This happens fairly frequently, moreso around sale times. I've had orders shipped in as many as 3 separate shipments, and IIRC, each is charged to my card as it is shipped. I am super-impressed with their logistics to be honest. Most times, I place an order on day 0 and by day 1, never later than day 2, the shipment is delivered using regular mail. I've never had an order delayed a week though.

you must live super close to NC...if you live in CA, ordering online, the shipments take at least a week and it's by ups.  this is def. one of the reason I go to the nearby stores for orders...

Four order (five items) cancelled in the past month....... How are they so bad at this?

If  it says only 1 remaining, you've got less than a 50% chance of actually getting it.  Bad inventory management, I guess....

In regards to the orders lately:

My last order of 3 items; 1 shipped from the WH, one from Aspen and 1 from San Francisco....  All shipped on the same day, within 1 day of my order.  The Aspen store sends their stuff in pretty cool RRL fabric bags.

I guess I've been lucky. I've only had one item cancelled in the years I've been ordering online. (Now watch everything go to hell!)

I prefer to order from stores, especially during sales—an SA can often get you a better price and will track down hard-to-find items.

The downside of ordering from stores is how they handle returns.

When you buy an item on RL.com it ships with a prepaid return label. Sending an item back to Ralph Lauren is free of cost and effortless. On the other hand, most brick-and-mortar stores expect you to pay for sending an item back to them. Sometimes you can coax a label out of a store, but it takes awhile to approve and comes with restrictions on how long it's active and the weight of the package.

Ralph deducts $5 from your refund if you use their prepaid label. It takes almost 2 weeks from the west coast.

Shop Runner returns are no change though.

Anyone got a photo of the bonded jacket? I'm betting the colour is nothing like the image above. Also is it actually waterproof? As that would be my main reason for buying it.
