I thought I had a winner until I put them on only to find the stitches in the left boot completely torn and attempted to be repaired with glue. Looks like I'll still only have one pair of Murdocks in my rotation

That really blows. I wasn't crazy about the new maker, since the design just seemed too clunky to me. Seems like there may also be quality issues. I've had these ones a few years now, and can't say enough good about them. I have no idea who the maker is, since that stuff really doesn't matter much to me if I like the quality, design and craftsmanship. I just wish I had more opportunities to wear them..

Went off and checked the insides of the pair I just bought. Stitching is fine.

I mentioned that I received a mismatched pair a week ago. One boot size 8.5 and the other 10.
The mismatched pair were also covered with that light colored fuzzy dusty stuff you can kind of see in @Fenderplyr's pic.

The pair I kept were in nicer condition. No fuzzy stuff.

of the three i ordered, 1 came without the dusting that you're mentioning which had the best shape/look etc.. but that is the one with the scars or scratches all over the toe. this is the second pair i've got where the stitching on the shaft is completely torn near the heel

Anybody purchase any of the Fall'16 items yet?
So far the indigo dyed cords and the slim selvedge denim jacket are the only things I'm interested in.

I'm liking  these 3 items so far. the Baseball Jersey is a must, especially since it is cut  in Athletic fit.

I am eyeing up some denim. Either the Fairview...

Or the Billings...

Leaning towards the Fairview cause I need a darker wash in a slim fit.

Here's a "real-world" shot of the Slim-fit Selvedge Denim Jacket  (RRL's 101J/Rider repro)... Someone else asked me for the measurements, so I included them below:

Shoulders - 18"
Chest (pit-to-pit) - 20"
Length (front) - 24"
Length (back center) -  25"
Sleeves (from seam to cuff)  - 26"
Sleeves (from nape to cuff) - 35"

I really like it..of course it already crocked indigo on my rigid khaki's but I guess it goes with the territory...

I ordered the L and M versions of that A-2 and sent both back.  The fit was the the absolute definition of "boxy" and the overall piece was just generally okay.  Nothing really special about it that stood out, it was pretty much a dad jacket.  Very underwhelming; I would have kept it if it'd been say ~$300-500 but not for $720 plus tax.

That fringed leather is pretty dope, though, nice catch.
