Shopping needs to prompt some sort of sentimentality, otherwise forget it. I'll just shop on the internet.

I am not near any RRL stores, so I mostly shop the internet and occasionally directly with the stores via mail order.

Their lease is running out and they decided not to renew it.

Bleecker store is tiny. West Broadway store is great.

It looks like someone threw up the past several seasons on the website.  They have shirts and other items from fall, winter '15 who knows what other seasons for sale.  It's also around this time I'm not sure what is new Fall and what is Summer (Full Price).  Very confusing and makes me want to wait to buy anything until I know for sure it's not going to be on sale in a few weeks...

A nice medium weight denim. RRL is killing it with these denim washes. They are the best at doing pre-distressed denim! F*uk, I'm ready to whip out my credit card smile.gif

Anyone see these jeans in the flesh? Just looking for some live feedback. The pics on the website are not always accurate.

Tiny is part of what makes it great. Like an old haberdashery. Prince St was great, too.

My 29s appear to be 2 inches larger.

I received by T2 Denim Jacket in size Small.

I was wondering, are the sleeve seams from the back suppose to be even? Because mine isn't and the one on the site isn't either. Is this intentional?

Which store? I'm DC-based but I don't know of any local stockists!

Me too, just got back from the SF RL store and they just got it (the selvedge denim jacket) in and it fits perfect... slim ...not boxy and not too slim, I can still fit a flannel underneath if desired but it looks like a modern fit.  The denim is awesome, exactly what I was looking for.

As a side note, the SF RL store has a bunch of just released Fall items.  Looks like all the sweaters are USA made..had a nice black indigo shawl color one and a blue indigo crewneck.  The indigo bomber jacket is interesting. May go back for the Matlock plaid shirt, mainly because the color pattern is different than the rest of the plaid shirts I have...plus I usually like the first shirt that comes out in the season the best for whatever reason...

Must be intentional. I just took a look at the type 2 I ordered last week and it's exactly the same as you describe.

Have any of you tried the limited edition ventile jacket?

I didn't try the Kapital one, but I can imagine it is nice as well but when buying Kapital you may want to size up at least one or two from your traditional jacket size (i.e if you are a 40 get a 42, or maybe even 44)...the few things I tried on from Kap in the past were strangely small.

As mentioned, the RRL one is selvedge, the denim is excellent, and not nearly as stiff as the Japanese brands (Iron Heart, Sugar Cane).  The fit is also more slim/modern.

Alternatively, you could go straight for Lee Japan.

Lee does make a raw version ...but  it stays true to the vintage fit... and it's very "raw" like the others I mentioned ... IMHO, I think it looks a bit too "country/western" for me..but some people want that look...I think the below picture is a better example ...

I have it! Any specific questions? I love it, lots of nice little details on it, hand warmer pockets hidden on the sides.
