I own the Perkins. It's true to size - I wear a medium in vests/waistcoats and my Perkins is a medium. Nice piece, definitely worth it if you can get a deal.

The SA recommend going with my true waist size since the fabric will not stretch out like the denim does, so I went with 33 in these shorts. They will be delivered on Tuesday. I'll let you know how they fit...

I received the camo cargo shorts today. Very nice, high quality cargo shorts. I really like the double-entry cargo pockets.

The 33 fits right on. Glad I didn't go with my normal 32 denim size. These aren't going to stretch in the waist like denim. Plus, I bet the cotton twill material has major shrinkage potential.

Question for those of you who are better informed.  The Midland wash in the Spring look book seems to be much darker than what I currently see on every different website.  Could these be a new version of the Midland wash, or simply another photo misrepresentation on RL's part?  Spec's seem to be the same as RL.com.

Great, you'll love them!

I am having second thoughts on the 33s and thinking about the 32s for a more fitted fit. The waist is ok on the 33s, but they feel a little baggy, especially in the seat area. It's stinks being in between sizes. Any suggestions?

Is there pant alternative for the officer chino? I find the pant too low rise so have troubles tucking in my shirt and a little too wide at the bottom.

As far as I know, there is no new version of the Midland wash. They've used the same photo in prior lookbooks and also online. It's most definitely a photo misrepresentation. Nothing new there as there.

You can try the slim chinos which should be more narrow at the bottom, but you will probably have the same shirt tucking issue.

There are other brands that make good chinos too. I have 2 pairs of Closed chinos and like them as much as my RRL officers chinos. The fabric is pima cotton and much softer:
