As noted, I wear them quite a lot haha (wearing them today actually, just snapped these). Also a cameo appearance by some garment-dyed officer chinos from a year or two ago.
Does anyone know if the leather they reference is just from a specific region of France, or a specific tannery? A little bit of research indicates that there is a 'tanneries du puy' which was recently bought out by Hermes. Just curious as I'm not very knowledgeable in this area. I agree it is the specific leather lining they use that leads to the overall comfort of the boot. Comparing the lining of this to say, the Clifton boot, is night and day.
Also curious as to other's opinions on the Wiberforce regarding size/fit/quality.
I had the Wilberforce in tan for a few days before eventually returning them. I sized them like my Marlows which is .5 up from my Alden Barrie. I take a C width in the Barrie so for the Marlows- and for the Wilberforce had I kept them- I put an insert in to snug them up. I liked the details on the Wilberforce. Good broguing, very heavy solid heel and sole. I liked the thickness of the sole. Hefty. In contrast to the weight of the sole, the leather was soft, almost thin. Much less substantial than I had imagined. I think it would eventually be comfortable even without socks. Ultimately, they were too orange for me. I needed to love them at that price and every time I tried them on I thought dang that's bright. Just a shade too loud for me.
The website posted quite a few new items. I'm really liking a lot of the new slim Narrow jeans/pants they have for spring. there are like 3 pairs i want. has anybody seen these pants in person. I'm wondering if they are more of a dark indigo or a faded out blue. On the web they are listed as slim fit but the measurement correspond with a pair of slim narrow. They have a slightly higher rise and a 14 inch leg opening for a 32 meanwhile normal slim fit have a 15 inch leg opening.
