Thinking about getting the Rummel Cords. Are they really as dark as your photos indicate? Totally different from what's shown online. (What a surprise!) ;)

Yes they are dark brown as shown in the photos.

I hear ya man on the color, I think the spring items don't have as much over saturation in the pictures.

edit - ok, quotes aren't working. The Hercules chambray.

Well, I didn't have much luck myself - it's showing a bit more orange in my pics than it looks IRL. That said, it's definitely got some orange to it - not a pure faded red. Nice fabric, but cut on the snug/short side of RRL medium shirts (which either fit me like a glove or are too small), and not a great color for me, so this one's going back.

Thoughts on a few other items I've tried recently:

BRUSHED COTTON WORKSHIRT - http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=70982866&cp=2943767.1760788.62063596.53333306&fd=RRL&ab=rd_sale_men_allsale&ff=Brand&fv=1000055%2FRRL&s=D-DollarRank&fg=Brand&parentPage=family - Pretty nice. Like the fabric, buttons are really cheap feeling. Pretty good fit for me. Probably a keep.

COTTON JASPÉ WORKSHIRT - http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=67070336&cp=2943767.1760788.62063596.53333306&fd=RRL&ab=rd_sale_men_allsale&ff=Brand&fv=1000055%2FRRL&s=D-DollarRank&fg=Brand&parentPage=family - Hated the material, hated the fit. Definite return

CLYDE COTTON TWILL TROUSER - http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=65354936&cp=2943767.1760788.62063596.53333306&fd=RRL&ab=rd_sale_men_allsale&ff=Brand&fv=1000055%2FRRL&s=D-DollarRank&fg=Brand&parentPage=family - Love the material. Not a buckle back fan, but can live with it. Thighs are the challenge for me on the officer cut, and these are on the snugger side. Went up one from my usual and hoping they stretch a bit

Also got the SWEET ORR COTTON WORKSHIRT, which seems sold out on the site, but is awesome - great fit for me (longer in the arms/body) and nice heavyweight material.

Haven't splurged on any of the big stuff, and have avoided the henleys/sweats as my experience with them in the past has been pretty poor.

Thanks for the write-up!  I've was curious about a few of the items you mentioned especially the cotton Jaspe workshirt.

The sweet orr workshirt has been a favorite the past couple months...the people at my work are sick of seeing it on me along with the blue checked CPO shirt from the fall :) )

In the never ending saga of website photos not matching reality, I bought this wallet (at full price, unfortunately for me) before Christmas, expecting to get a smooth tan leather wallet.

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=21515226&cp=2943767.53333306&fd=RRL&ab=rd_men_sales&ff=Brand&s=D-DollarRank&fv=1000055%2FRRL&fg=Brand&promotions_allsale=true&parentPage=family

Imagine my surprise when this arrived?

I kept it, but what really made me chuckle was the RL rep's insistence that the picture accurately depicted the actual wallet. I was not trying to return it or anything other than prevent others from getting misled by the pictures on the website.

Ah, I work from home, so no one's here to get tired of my clothing selections! Or at least, my dog hasn't complained yet.

A shame RRL is such a crapshoot. They really knock some stuff out of the park, but I end up returning more than I keep. The website isn't doing them any favors, nor is their lack of sizing consistency. Glad the comments were helpful.

This is just laughable. That's not a bad picture, it's a totally different item.

Out of curiosity, what are the two small slots on the inside right intended for?

Yes, exactly my point. I'd love that wallet on the website by the way. Had the actual article been pictured on the website, I probably would not have ordered it to be honest. As it was, I needed a wallet, there was no obvious branding, and it held my shit, so I sucked it up.

Those two slots are apparently for holding quarters.

Interesting. Is the inside of the wallet the same leather as the outside?

I think I'd return it on principle if a rep tried to tell me that website depiction was accurate smile.gif

Yeah, believe me, I was tempted, but at that point, I just resolved myself to the fact that I'd paid $400 for a $50 wallet and moved on. I am actually amazed this was brought to their attention and the picture remains there. This isn't a case of over-saturated colors or exposure, that is just not even remotely the same leather..

You received something in the mail you didn't order.  No need to return it.  According to US Postal rules, it's yours to keep for free.  If RL doesn't give you a refund, file a dispute with your CC company.

i've seen this wallet in person multiple times and it looks nothing like the one you got.  the wallets i saw in person looked exactly like the ones online. i know you aren't returning it, but you sure they didn't send you a wrong model?
