Ace fit.  You consistently do a great job of putting RRL pieces together while avoiding some of the more costume-like looks.  Keep up the good work!

It's going to be a bit. Fall just went on sale like a week ago.

And I've long since stopped being offended by RL prices on principle. They charge what they can get. Sometimes they raise the ceiling to create a sense of perceived value and we all anchor to it. It's a silly game and I play/get played. If it was Visvim no one would blink.

That said. It's so soft and the buttons are perfect and it fits so well.

Thats my point .  The shirt doesn't have anything close to the detail that goes into a $700 Visvim or Kapital shirt.  Those shirts should be limited because of the work that goes into some of them but this one I swear I can make myself.  I can make 10 and call it limited where the price  on this one would tell you its got some deadstock fabric or something.

I know some things are meant for the affluent market but RRL has a cult following who likely shrugged their shoulders at this one

My rant is not aimed at the LE line at all but simply this shirt.  Again , I like the shirt & would wear it

TIA for any advice....

PS: I haven't tried with the non-leather laces they also come with...

I know others had a bad experience with the Clifton's, but I took the boots on a recent business trip last week and wore them pretty much the whole week (new) and I find the quite comfy.  Maybe because I am comparing them to the horrendous experience I've had recently with some Iron Rangers but these have been pretty good right out of the box...maybe I have a good fit... I did size down a half size from my dress shoe size...

They are also great for ice...wore them in snow country and they performed well...didn't slip.  (Can't wear RW Iron rangers and Blacksmiths in snow/ice with their cork soles)...

One of my favorite aspects is that beyond the general designs and manufacturing, the time and effort that is put into the packaging is so amazing. Received a new woven today, and this was inside the shirt keeping its form. Am I alone when I say it's pretty fun to collect things like this??

I agree, and I definitely 'collect' all the labels, tags, etc on the items I buy.  My better half thinks I'm a bit nuts for doing so, but I'm thinking of maybe at some point putting a collage or something of the sort together with the various items I have.

While we are on the things we like about RRL, I love the intricacies to the fabrics they use.  While at first glance an item may be somewhat unremarkable, upon closer inspection one can notice all sorts of interesting details.  For example in the shawl collar piece I wore today at a distance it just seems like a simple navy/black fabric, but closer inspection yields a fine herringbone-like pattern.

Got it with that weird coupon that knocked stuff lower than advertised. Not normally something I'd consider yet it's shortly become a favorite. Great detail and fit. I'm a sucker for shawl collars. Lame mirror shot:

Recommended. Especially if it drops again. Wait a month and then call a store. Sometimes stuff goes fire-sale.

That shirt rocks...thanks for posting a fit pic...I have not purchased a shirt with a shawl collar and was wondering what one looked like on.  Will probably buy one in the upcoming seasons....

My fit from 2 weeks back.

Nice camo vest. I realky wished they did a button closure as opposed to the zip. That detail caused me to pass on it.

Got it at a RL sample sale so it was hard to pass up for the price...

I own a pair of the Cliftons and really like them. Good-looking, comfortable shoes. If pressed I will admit that my favorite boots are my old, beat-up Red Wing Iron Rangers. Something substantial about those shoes.

You're welcome. It's understated and still distinctive. I need to post a pic that does it justice.

And on the topic- are you sitting down, @Dirty Denim? A button is coming off. Kiiiinda pissed. Thou shall feel righteously justified. I still love it while being unamused.

Edit: finally figured out how to properly mention someone. Have been doing it amateurishly incorrectly.
