I will upload pics of my PRL peacoat soon for anyone interested, even though this is an RRL thread.

If the RRL peacoat is too boxy, try the PRL - it definitely isn't boxy!

I posted my pics earlier in this thread as well as in the "MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 THREADS MERGED - ALL PEACOAT QUESTIONS HERE" thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/144305/mega-peacoat-thread-61-threads-merged-all-peacoat-questions-here

...there was a person asking about the PRL peacoat...you should definitely post a pic there as well...

When I sized the RRL peacoat down to the correct size..it wasn't boxy at all...

comfortable how?  as in nonrigid?  a couple weeks of regular wear, but if one is used to buying raw heavy rigid denim, you'll be used to the rigidity pretty much as soon as you buy them (and adversely, now when I wear regular-lighter weight/soft jeans and chinos...they feel too light to me)

if they are too tight and you need them to stretch out...well it varies how much you need them to stretch...

Low straight for me. The cut is just down right comfortable and the leg opening works well with boots. I've always worn similar straight cuts in other brands. I been meaning to try slim because many of the washes are really cool, but haven't gotten around to it. I ordered a pair of low straight once washed recently. I immediately returned them because I didn't like the way they felt. Too cardboard feeling for my liking. Pre-distressed jeans all the way for me! RRL does a great job at this.

I have low straight and slim , much prefer low straight, though wish they could taper the leg on low straight just a bit

Looking at the measurements low straight vs. slim, it's marginal between the two; 1/2" in the front rise and 1" in the leg opening. The rest of the meaurements are the same??? I don't trust these measurements though.

Yea i had ordered slim rigid and the japanese slim with that coupon code and got them in 32/32 but when i tried them on i had more than 2 fingers space in the waist .. so I'm thinking i should pick up them in a 30 even though i have never worn that small before. Might exchange the slim rigid and return the japanese one and pick up low rigid straight or possibly the low straight stillwater

I have one pair of RRL denim jeans so far, the low-straight stillwater. Awesome wash by the way; nice all-purpose light-weight dark wash with subtle fading and whiskering. I want a lighter color wash and eyeing up the low straight midland, but they don’t have my size online. I called RL Customer Assistance and they were not able to locate in stores either. Unionmade and STAG Provisions has them in my size, so there are options.

I wear 32x32 in the low straight. Would I go with the same size in slim? I am eyeing up the slim New Mexico wash. One of the SAs sent me a pic. The New Mexico wash appears lighter in color and more staining/white blotches than online. The fading contrast and repairs on the thighs seem right on. There is a lot of light in the pic, so maybe not as light as they appear? The wash reminds me of the slimboot Sante Fe wash, but a little more toned down.

I've owned one of each cut over the past year or so and I have to say the slim narrow rigids are my favorite by far. I found all the newer styles to be sized consistently always being 2 sizes up from the tagged size. The slim narrow east west jeans ended up breaking the skin behind my knees while breaking them in but after several months of wear they fit/look the best

Thanks for posting the pic I'm going to grab these. I like how they look. Not as light as I was expecting.

I am grabbing them as well. Here are two more pics from another SA...

They look lighter in these pics, but probably due to the lighting and/or flash.

Have you seen the Sulphur springs low straights? Curious on the color of those.

I haven't seen them in person or live pics, just what I've seen online and in the fall lookbook. They kind of remind me of the low straight north plains wash which was recently discontinued. Same 16.25oz weight, similar wash color and fading, but no repairs.
