I'd prefer the Julian made or the ones after that as they look better made. Biggest prob I'm having is to figure out how these run in size. I've read to size up, down etc. some input from someone who has a pair or knows about them please help me out. Thanks in advance!

You can find a lot of info here (http://vintageengineerboots.blogspot.com) by searching the blog. If not you can email him your question, he is very willing to answer peoples questions.

A lot of info here also: http://www.denimbro.com/engineer-boots_topic1449.html

Whoever did those looks to have done a nice job. I applaud your willingness to take a chance too. They turned out looking just like original RRL yet without the distressing. Well done.........thumbs-up.gif

Here's the RRL Pea Coat from/for this Winter... was told by the SAs the small fit me perfectly (as compared to the medium - which I agreed with...the medium was I think a was a little too long and the shoulders/torso was too big/roomy (even with a sweater)...but if any pea coat experts on this thread think differently let me know before I take the tag off etc...

BTW had no idea there was a pea coat cult/aficionado following - a lot of people know the different types (WWI, WWII...etc). A friend told me RRL one is more like the the ones put out in WWII (or maybe he said pre--WWII - ca't remember) with the corduroy pockets and the fact its all wool (no synthetic) ...and he told me its a great "weight"...anyway... thought I would share - all new to me...(probably old news to a lot of people on this thread)...

I am not a peacoat expert, but yes it fits perfectly.

Like you, I had to size down to S with mine (the longer one).

Yes...dark pic

Cool ... Thanks for the feedback...

I like the longer one too, but this year RRL only had a longer one in an LE with leather and a semi-longer one made out of nylon canvas material (filled with down) - neither of which I was looking for...I was looking for more traditional wool... So now I have classic/vintage type i guess

I was looking at an eBay auction for a Roper jacket in Stillwater wash. Any idea why the patch on the inside of the jacket is upside down?

I am on a jacket kick fellas. What's everyone think of the Cotton First-Edition Jacket?

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=65354276&cp=11588650.12138269&ab=ln_men_cs_jackets&parentPage=family

It's looks like a nice casual light-weight jacket that can be worn with denim jeans and chinos. I like the vintage look. The Bedford cord is nice in my opinion because it doesn't have the velvety feel that regular cord has.

I got the ranch hand jacket a few months ago because I wanted a light trucker jacket like that color for fall and love it... They just put it up on the web sight - here's the link: http://m.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=67831456&cp=11588650.12138269

The jacket you posted a link to looks similar but different color.

Wondering if the fall stuff may be going on sale soon - never heard this from anyone but a lot of it has been up for a while ....

Wow, thanks for posting up this Cottom Twill Jacket. I am digging the Carhartt Brown color. I would definitely get more use out of this jacket as opposed to the one I posted above.
