any updates on the "C&J" boot?

No clue who made them. But my guess is they're not C&J. I could be wrong though.
They seem well made but the leather isn't as supple as other C&Js.
The toe area is very generous. I sized down 1/2 size (11->10.5) and they fit. Length is just long enough.
Interesting that according to the box they're 10.5US/9.5UK. Usually the C&J Ralph shoes would show 10.5US/10UK.

Information inside them is printed rather than handwritten as on all my other C&J except for a pair I got from Barney's recently.
Printing is different from those though.

Definitely not on the 325 last. Those other boots are a recent purchase from Barney's.
Keswicks on the 325.

Heard from an e-buddy who says the printing inside the boot resembles that on his Cheaneys.
Also, the leather sole part of the RRLs match these Cheaneys. (RRLs have Dainite heels.)

Nope. It's all on SF. I like to make people hunt for it.

Yesterday after hearing all the good things I wanted to order the Bowery boots but sold out in my size. After retiring a pair of Timbalands that looked very similar but disappointing in quality. So I went with the Brunel hunting boots figuring a $500 boot for $210 couldn't be to big of a risk.....we'll see. Plus they matched a belt that RRL had on sale in my size.

I will report later to let the thread know my thoughts and if purchase was a hit or miss.

I know you guys are all wild about these RRL boots, but I find them oddly Victorian looking.

anybody get the new 11.5oz officer chinos yet? Looking at getting a pair for fall and wondering if they'll fit similar to the lighter weight ones from last year.

Timbaland makes boots?!

On a side note, there are some nice Frye's lace-ups out there in the $200 range.

Damn, out of my size for the Brunels. Any other alternatives? I like the slimmer profile of the Brunels compared to chunkier Red Wings.

^^ +1. Tried these on in shop the other day. Very nice. Wonderful fabric. Not distressed. On the slim-small side. I'm usually a 32 or 33, and would definitely go 33 in these.

How did you get the Brunel for $210? I'm looking online now and they seem to be $490?!
