Great post! A lot of classic pieces there. I used to collect vintage "Lo" and a lot of those are really sought after.

Looks like RL is bringing back the patchwork knit. Love this, but I'm not sure I can stomach the price. $995 MSRP. Even on sale at it's cheapest it will still be a few hundred. Only the Small and Large were left in stock the other day so it might already selling out. wow.gif

I thought Labor Day sale was the last call. Any stores carry sale items right now?

I've had that saved in my watch list for about 6 months now. Super cool.

What I don't get though is that it is inspired by WW2 jackets and has a 50 star flag patch on the shoulder.

That has bugged me since I saw this jacket.

is that just a normal rlbl a2 bomber that was customized in brooklyn(grants it limited edition status)?

Other than it being in made in china and patches being slightly wonky (which might be due to the naive limited edition artist they used lol) it is a sweeet jacket.

I don't get it, were the patches and artwork commissioned by RRL or was it just some guy who brought it somewhere to customize it

It's an actual RRL piece. But it's just so weird they would be so careless with the accuracy of the patches.

I would love it if it just had the artwork on the back and no patches.

kensington if u have any vintage RL you're looking to move let me know!

that '95 patchwork is great, the only thing i have against it is that the waist doesn't come in... i almost picked up one yesterday but the seller stretched out the neckline. as for the new 2014 version, i believe it restocked in all sizes.

Has anyone seen this season's sport coats in store? Specifically, I'm curious about the difference in cut between the R and L lengths.

I find that the 40R and 42R are cut in a trendier short length that doesn't jive with the vintage dimensions of the lapels, pockets, etc.

But I haven't seen a 40L or 42L in store here on the west coast. Are the L lengths actually cut long enough to cover your butt?
