I'm curious; were they sent from the warehouse (NC) or was the order full-filled and shipped by an RL store somewhere?  I would guess if they came from the warehouse they are probably intended to be sold that way; if they came from a B&M store some sales rep probably just pulled them off a display and shoved them in a box.  Often the clearance items come from the stores.  That being said, all my officer chino shorts came from the warehouse wrinkled to hell.

Assuming you haven't worn them outside you should be able to take them to a cobbler to get a topy applied. Shouldn't be expensive and will definitely help protect against wet weather.

They came from KERNERSVILLE, NC. If they are meant to be sold in such a way, why do the stores not wrinkle them? Anyway, not really a big deal, was just surprised more than anything.

FAKE!!!! I have the real one and the tags and labels are different. The eagle shoulder patch is slightly different, too. The real one also has side gussets with chainstitching hanging off. The union label also says "limited edition" on the authentic one and is located on the front bottom rather than on the placket. Shoulder yoke cut is different, too...I could go on and on.

Listing is ended, must have been pulled. That was a copy of the selvedge chambray shirt right? Amazing someone has the time to do that for an RRL piece.

It looks like a pretty basic shirt with a pretty basic patch. Is it possible RRL made a similar one at some point that wasn't LE?

Seems pointless for someone to go through the trouble to fake a shirt like that. Maybe I'm wrong.

Its not that hard to fake something. Alot of Chinese factories after hours will run unauthorized copies of things they made officially during the day. Happens with Nike quite often for example.

Maybe they liked the shirt's aesthetic. I highly doubt RRL made an exact shirt style that wasn't LE...

The authentic shirt actually has a lot of character. I will take pics and upload them later.

The new Repaired Stafford Denim has no back pocket stitching, which is great, though I'm not crazy about the front. Bon Jovi circa 1985. I guess they're supposed to fit like low straights?

I had the opportunity to handle and try on the new Limited Edition Roe Bucks recently, and I have to say, they're pretty awesome. The texture of the denim reminds me a bit of the "Boss" buckle-back jeans released Spring 2013. If you're looking to cop, be sure to buy your size, as they're sanforized.

That would be my guess too. In China, a factory contracted to fill an order for an international company will often have leftover materials after completing the order (for 500 shirts... or 20,000). It is common practice for the workers to continue producing the item, sometimes in a simplified form, until they run out of the material / trimmings / etc. These extra garments are then sold through many different channels. Taobao is the defacto online site, while the brick and mortar chain Hot Wind excels at getting these garments sold directly to the public for cheap.

I don't know where this shirt was manufactured, and it doesn't really matter. It seems like this practice has become increasingly widespread. Personally, I think it's an interesting form of resistance to the inequalities of globalization, but I do love selvedge gussets. And they skimped out on that detail.

It's been awfully quiet and bicker-free recently. I just can't put my finger on what's changed...:puzzled: .
