I have this done all the time. It's generally something that any competent tailor should be able to do. Just make sure they take the fabric from the inside of the leg (leaving the selvedge seam intact).

very curious about these

A lot of misconception about Ralph Lauren in general in this thread as of late lol... The ones that think they know, just know so little.

Yes reselling merch is frowned upon.. But
Ralph Lauren encourages employees to buy more, because it's great advertising for him. Business with employees are sort of similar to this forum actually.

Just like this thread, a lot of us choose what we buy based on the pictures and how it looks on the individual. If you see an employee with a garment you plan on buying that you were kind of skeptical about, it helps the consumer make the decision much easier.

Everything Ralph does for employees are moreso for a positive marketing reasoning & appreciation for whenever we reach store goals.

Because spring/summer wear is here and the weather for some of the flagship stores are still winter-like. He's offered this sale to persuade traffic & encourage income regardless the discount.

enough about the misconception of Ralph Lauren... And let's continue RRL talk smile.gif

I actually bought them.... They're the normal RRL training sneaker but in like an over dyed Indigo, they came in the duck canvas as well.

Very cool sneakers

thanks for the clarification, makes sense. i thought the bit about RL having sales to figure out who is abusing their discount and then firing them was a little much.

Yes, Denim, you do know so little. What do you know about RLs business practices? The little motivational speeches your amateur supervisors make every morning? RL doesnt encourage discount abuse or employees buying more than their basic necessities, I know first hand some of my old SA from RL getting fired for reselling and buying too much.

Im sure the RRL managers are cooler about it, but RL at large are cut throat about abusung discounts, esp at outlets where everything is already reduced drastically. Dont believe me, tell manager you buy clothing for friends and resale. See how long you keep your job. I have no idea why anyone would argue about abusing discounts, or act like RL needs free advertising or care about their employees If that were the case the employee sale would be open to friends and family, not employee and spouses only. These huge discount events are simply an exception.

I recall a member here who got fired for reselling on the forums, then split with everyones money. Believe what you want. Fact is employees who resell here make so little they dont even get noticed by anybody. Thats why they think nobody cares. The ones that get noticed get shitcanned. Maybe dastig can chime in now that he is a manager.

He said reselling is frowned upon so what exactly are you arguing about?
Who gives a shit about all this arguing over reselling? This thread needs to spend more time focusing on the actual clothing rather than the bitch fest of the people wearing them.

Frowned upon means they just don't approve of what you are doing, but will not take steps to prevent this sort of behavior. It isn't just frowned upon, they will take disciplinary action.

Anyway now that the employee sale is over we can go back to talking about measurements and when the next 70% off clearance sale will take place.
