At any rate, it worked for me.  I had to place two separate orders to get maximum value of the 20-50-150 deal, but final savings were close to 40%.

Cheers.

Code worked great, thanks. I got the -50 deal plus code and free shipping for a nice savings on some of the new indigo dyed tees. The black indigo tee looks especially nice.

Can't you set options for certain countries?  I believe I read something along the lines of being able to set an option for something like Canada then using GSP for the rest.  http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/shipping-globally.html#offering  See 'Alternative Shipping Options'.  I haven't tried doing this yet mind you so I'm not sure if this works or not.

I've used GSP simply because I'd rather not ship internationally and eBay will take the hit if the item gets lost on its way to the destination country.  It really isn't buyer friendly, but it is a rare 'seller friendly' option in what seems like a buyer oriented policy philosophy.

I don't think you can. You can set multiple "options" for customers to use, but that's for all international customers and of course everyone will select the cheapest method without me being able to do anything about it. If there is a way to set it by each country, I would love to know how.

I wish ebay set an option that let me accept or decline orders before getting immediate payment. That way I can adjust/change shipping methods based on countries or decline orders if customers have 0 feedback or whatever.

Recently got scammed almost $1k shipping 4 rigids to a proxy somewhere in South El Monte, CA. Japanese customers with stolen cards. I knew it was suspect because they bought the same item, with different accounts, with different names but since I never get scammed by Japanese I shipped everything. Paypal has me covered though since I followed all the guidelines for SP.

If someone buys something and requests it sent to another address I either make them change their eBay address to that so I can be covered by seller protection or I cancel the order. The number of times I've gotten orders from a Cali address asking to ship to Thailand...

bought straight leg olive denim, tagged 30x32. Waist measures just under 17. So it's about a 33.75 inch waist on a tagged 30

Agreed.  I picked up the black indigo henley, along with a bunch of other new stuff.  Will receive mid-week.

Ugh, stories like this make me really hesitant to sell items on ebay. Glad to hear you got your money back from those assholes but it's too bad they got away with it.

Yeah, basically just make sure you ship to the address shown on the transaction page and you're covered.

I finally got the black cat Dixon jacket and they go and release a zip up fleece version. Is it bad that I kinda want to own both?

Just an FYI for the heck of it I tried their instructions and it looks like you can set shipping options for specific countries, and it will default to that shipping option rather than GSP (for example, Canada).  It appeared to work on a listing I just tried it on.  GSP will be used for all others.  You can do it for up to four countries.

Received several sale items today, terry shawl cardigan, indigo hoodie, and the button tab jeans.  The cardigan is nice but will be going back as it has an odd fit.  The sleeves are slightly short and slim whereas the waist is cut much more generously.  The indigo hoodie appears to be cut a little more generous in the waist than my liking but the fabric is much thicker than expecting and the color is really rich and intricate, much more than the website pics indicate.  The button tab jeans fit great, and are made of a thick linen/cotton blend that should go over well during these cold months.

I'm interested in putting Priority mail for some countries and EMS for others. It doesn't really matter I guess, Flat rate Priority doesn't get full tracking to most countries and to add insurance/signature it will cost almost as much as a EMS flat rate envelope but EMS is guaranteed and very fast/reliable.

As far as GSP I have no interest in that either, as they want too much money to do very little work and they are not even open to a lot of countries that I deal with.

Are the tab pants the ones with the black denim? Those looked interesting like older Duck pants RRL used to make. Didn't know they were linen I thought they were cotton/acrylic.

Yup that's the one.  Ahhh I stand corrected, you are right.  They are of a cotton/acrylic/poly blend.  Very similar in feel to me to a cotton/linen but given the thickness that fabric construction makes sense.
