Thanks,  I like a slim fitting buckleback.  Its also clutch when the belt loops are higher than the buckle.   Old Blue Co has 3 pairs that look to be the same fit with some cool details.  The Khaki color is perfect.  They also have a duck fabric which is dif than these 2

One thing I liked about it the wash is the more natural looking whiskers than the Midland wash (at least to me)

A lot of times we focus too much on raw, dark denim IMO. I need a good wash to diversify a bit, and RRL is always a first check due to the availability of different inseam lengths.

I recently purchased this LJ from the RL store in San Francisco. I tracked the package earlier today and noticed the box they used to ship has a dimension of 21" x 14" x 5". I saw this jacket in person in the Chicago store and I can't picture how the XXL size can fit in that box. Now I'm worried that they might have sent me the wrong jacket confused.gif

I'm also worried that whoever handled the shipping just tried to make it fit in the box and I'm afraid that in the process could have damaged the jacket. It happened to me before when I bought a leather/canvas bag from Marc Jacobs. They folded the bag in half to fit a small box and permanently left a creased mark on the bag Unfortunately, I couldn't return since it's final sale.

I agree with you that a lot people tend to focus on raw or dark denim too much. M personally, I  prefer washed denim. There is much lees hassle, I don't have to worry about sizing issue due to stretching and i don't have to worry about my jeans bleeding indigo everywhere. During this most recent sale I picked up a pair slim fit Folsom wash jeans and i also have a pair of slim boot-cut spring wash and i was thinking of picking up one more pair of light wash jeans or a pair of grey wash jeans. I started to lean more towards the grey because the pics on line of the Utica jeans didn't look that much different from the Folsom wash jeans that I have.Furthermore, the  last time I checked the Ralph Lauren Store in Lenox Mall they didn't have any Utica Jeans in for me to do my own comparison.

That jacket could easily fit into a 21x14x5 even in 2XL. I wouldn't be worried about it being damaged if it's folded tightly, that leather is thick and well oiled it will not form creases very easily and even if there is a crease it's a leather jacket that will get lots of creases in it anyway, or you can rub conditioner in, read some tutorials on how to get wrinkles out of leather, it should take out most creases.

I myself am restoring an old RRL oilcloth jacket and have recently ordered some reproofing cream. Kind of excited about the DIY aspect as I have never reproofed a waxed jacket before.

They shipped my most recent jacket in a garment bag folded in half.  It came through safely, but back it goes.

Having shipped RRL leather jackets before that jacket will def fit in a box that size with sleeves folded across and the jacket folded In half. Never had a problem with a crease either

Also that is a great Jkt. Tried it on and it was the best fit. Just didn't have the money at the time to purchase.

probably more like a 31.5" - 32", although each garment can vary.

I've got a pair of tagged size 31 slim and the waist measures 34 (returning them). You think the straight (which I thought was a looser fit) tagged 1 inch smaller would have a waist 2-2.5 inches smaller?
