I wasn't bowled over, but the truth is that's because I've spent the last five years accumulating the RRL pieces I want. Anyone new to the brand will love the stuff out this fall. As always, there are lots of classic pieces with the extra details and quality in textiles and construction that set the brand way ahead of just about everything else.

Haha, at this point what else could I possibly be hoping for? Okay, since you asked...

-selvedge broadcloth dress shirts (since the RRL suiting section takes a lot of inspiration from Boardwalk Empire's costume design (and vice versa) how about some vintage collar styles?)
-selvedge chambray and mock twist work shirts in bolder colors (oranges, greens, grays, yellows...)

-wider variety of slim fit cord colors
-better winter work accessories: gloves, hats, scarves, socks (socks?!?)
-speaking of scarves... how bout some really substantial wool / cashmere ones? kasuri or plaid indigo? something that competes with the hill-side's stuff?
-better neckties... wool paisleys, splashy 20s silk patterns, cashmere tweeds

Now that I think about it, I'd like one of next Fall's themes to be "Richard Harrow" - the tin man is wearing some incredible stuff in this week's episode, including a Brown's Beach jacket, melton double breasted overcoat, and a discharge indigo shirt with all the right shirring and old shell buttons.

Like the look of the Redford Vest but not at $690. Anyone seen it / tried it on / knows where it's imported from. Rather reminds me of Rocky Mountain Featherbed.

REALLY liking the Slim-Fit Slate-Blue Jean. Will have to purchase these.

Anyone fancy some $850 calfskin boots with some rather obvious stretch marks? These look like they should be seconds to me, or am I missing something?!

Plz of the shirt plz smile.gif Any signs of fading/distressing? Or does it come as a "one-wash?"

Interesting color reminds me of natural indigo rinsed jeans or ruri wash.

I'm definitely digging that donegal shawl collar sweater. My list is now the Corbin Messenger Bag, The Merino-Cashmere Shawl (Donegal) Cardigan, and the Walker Leather Jacket. My wallet is screaming at me.

I like the look of that cardigan too. I just wish it wasn't brown. A nice grey, green or blue Donegal would have been epic. I don't think I own any brown clothes.

How do the olive ones run? Did you size down? I wear a 34 x 34, but they don't seem to carry a 33 x 34 and I am sure the 34 would be too large.

same as normal non-selvedge officer chinos. 32x32 fits well, which is what i usually take.

speaking of chino sizing, can anyone compare the slim to the regular 1940 officer chino? is the top block the same?

Natural indigo is much lighter. They may use a very small percentage of natural indigo. True indigo = pure indigo =/= natural indigo.
