Glad to have people like Stu here to buy RRL from as well as all the rest with all the knowledge and info you all provide. The one-off crazies are pretty easy to deal with imo when we have fantastic community members that contribute actively to this thread.

Thought I'd verge back on topic and share my pickups from private sale as well as purchase from Stu00a:

Jeans are rinsed selvedge, slim straights. Actually my first pair of RRL denim, have only bought chinos and wool trousers in the past. I can finally "join" the club.

Nice. I remember all the talk on here when that hoody first appeared and I wasn't that impressed but in the flesh it's a different matter and it looks great on.

Ahhhhh the hoodie is sweet.  I almost bought that during Private Sale, and now I really wish I had.  Looks awesome on.

If anything, it's more real. Anonymity afforded by the internet lets cowards like BearBindel say whatever shit they really want to. If it were in person he'd either shut up or have his ass kicked. Ban him already.

That hoodie above, I remember thinking it looked kind of feminine based on the site pic, but it's actually pretty rugged and nice. Good pickup!

Just hit the report button in the PM, will probably be quicker

Yes, it's from the washing. The stars are not really white.

I'll stick to non-wash versions in the future.

I'm confused, are those the Slim Straight with the Cone denim or the Vintage Rinse (elastane/womens???)

Either way nice pickups.

Oh hah, it's actually 'Skinny' fit...completely disregarded the tag, feels and looks ike a slim straight to me. Could defintely be taken for as Women's but stu listed it as Men's:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Ralph-Lauren-RRL-DOUBLE-RL-Vintage-Rinse-Japanese-Selvedge-Denim-Jeans-28-/221221694387?pt=US_CSA_MC_Jeans&hash=item3381d72bb3

I'll take his word for that.

Anything with the small burlap tag is for women. But if it fits you I guess it doesn't really matter.

I picked up the red henley during the sale and was kind of on the fence about how it looked so I asked my girlfriend and she said "the pattern made me look girly" so back it went.   On the  other hand she liked the Serape Henley, go figure?  The knit hoody looks good in that pic, I guess I slept on that one too.  BTW....Has anyone ever told you look like the guy from  the show "Girls"?  Just sayin'

Heads up:

If you guys missed anything during private sale, now is your time.

Now to till the 28th transcontinental willbe an additional 25% off the existing sale price.

Starting on the 29th all other spring groups (santa fe, Brittany, and spring icon) will be roughly 40% off. However, they are allowing us to sell it at the sale price right now. (they are not eligible for the extra 25% though).

Thanks,

Robert

Good to know for next time, when I want something a little looser.

I've gotten the 'You look like...' thing from many people about many celebs and different ethnic groups, but never that guy in particular.

Haha I only appear to be white, but my origins are the opposite end of asia smile.gif

I see a trend above, women's jeans, gf's of other members are saying that the items I'm wearing looked girly on their bf's...do I need to reevaluate my gender? laugh.gif

Off topic: Noticed the D&S store on University Pl is about to open. Stuff in the windows looks cheap and naff. Very disappointed that it's not a RRL store.

D&S is very successful and accessible to just about everyone in the ways RRL or even Rugby was not. It's all about the bottom line so this was probably a great business move.

@Saturdays, you need to def. buy at least one pair of Mens Slim Fit Rigid now that you're getting into RRL jeans. The womens raw jeans are 10-11oz, elastane, no hidden rivets, zip fly, and generally flimsy. The mens SF Rigid are some of my favorite jeans at any price point.

^ Are the slim fit rigids and washed low straights this season the usual 2" + tagged size in the waist? Size up 1 on slim fits vs lows?
