I tailored from the inseam. That's obviously the only way to do it and not mess with the selvedge. I did it at denim doctors in LA who are terrific, if a bit pricey (I believe it cost me around $60, but it was a couple years ago). I don't notice anything being off about the shape of the leg. But I didn't extremely taper them - just did enough to remove the extreme bootcut flare. My experience was good and if I ever came across a pair of slim bootcuts in a wash I like, I'd do the same thing again.

My SA seems to not be helping me lately.

I purchased some low straights wore them about 5-10 times and the stitching in the pocket is already coming off, she said she'll talk to her manager, called her today and she said we would call back.

I need the Slim fit Khakis should I size up on them (Slim Fit Faded Khaki Denim)? Im a 32X20 Low Straight, I love the fit, but kind of too baggy.

Please Somebody Respond :'(

The stitching that connects the pocket to the body of the jeans or just the pocket detailing? The detailing comes off eventually, in fact on some of the extremely distressed washes it's gone/fraying in certain parts. That's kind of part of the RRL "look." But if you're unhappy with it, I'm sure a SA will replace - they've always been good about service when it comes to those things.

No experience with Khakis.

Right, my stitching on my Spring Creeks is almost completely gone and I like it that way, it gives them character. I agree that it's a part of the RRL look. You're supposed to wear the shit out of them. Then where the shit out of them some more.

Thanks Trimalchio. I'm only planning on hemming to a 7.5" leg opening so I guess it should be ok like yours.

Joserosalesz, I agree with the 2 posts above mine. I have a pair of clear blue wash jeans and the back pocket design was "worn" when I got it. It has frayed and unraveled more and more and now it is barely visible. It is intended, not a defect.

Can anybody comment on sizing for the Solid Oxford Sportshirts? I like the plain no logo-ness of it.  Any help finding it on the site?  I swear I tried looking...

If you're a medium custom-fit in Polo, you're probably a medium.  I for one cannot abide a $145 cotton oxford shirt made in China... and here you go:

Do the slim fits have the same rise as the slim bootcuts?

I have several Epaulet oxford cloth shirts and several RRL oxford cloth shirts. The fit of the Epaulet is much nicer and the fabric feels just as good.

Not sure if anyone can advise if this is a rigid slim fit, it says 'raw'.

My waist sz is 31 and from what i gather in this thread, i shd sz down at least 2 cos this jean stretch alot. How abt the shrinkage?
Rigid is the same as raw. If your true waist is 31 where the pants sit then these will be too big if you're looking for a slim fit. I have a 31x32 one wash and the waist stretched out to about 33.5".
