Oh wow.. that's so true, honestly I couldn't look at it for more than a few seconds before scrolling away quick enough to get the image out of my head.

LOL i read the article.  she was appearing at the launch.  I did find it funny that she seems to have done this terrible look.

More embarrassing is that the article was in the daily mail, which I like to read to help maintain my misanthropy.

I recalled I saw the "double-pants" and some headline, and clicked on the link as it piqued my interest.  I recalled incorrectly.

Seems there is some hypocrisy involved on my part (I am fine with that).

The double pants are a 1800's kind of thing, it was common back then.

I'm not going to defend wearing two pairs of pants, but the guy wearing them on the last page was wearing them for a reason. He digs through old mines looking for 1800's denim, that picture was taken right after they came out of a mine. The fake coal dust was really black powder residue left over from all the blasting they did in the mine a 130 years ago- these mines are filthy and filled with sharp rocks. His top button was open because the wrong pin was used to secure the shank button, if he buttoned the top button it would go flying off. These guys wouldn't go out in public with matching bandanas, they are good friends with Blue Blanket out of Italy- they were wearing the matching bandanas for there friends. I know these guys, I'm not one of them.

Yes it is from Alaska. The sleeves are made of Wool and Linen. Very nice piece

Stupid question... I've never owned a denim jacket before. Kind of interested in a RRL raw denim jacket in eBay. Should I expect the denim to bleed like crazy all over any lighter colored clothing I wear underneath it? If no, cool. If yes, is there anything that can be done to prevent this, or would I just have to wash the motherhumper like crazy?

I would expect it to bleed like their raw jeans would. Guessing it's the same fabric. You can try and prevent it by washing it before you wear it.

Are you talking about one of those railman/engineer jackets or the type 2. The railman ones suck and won't fade and made of very thin material but the type 2 fade nicely, made of quality denim and construction built to last years.. and will bleed everywhere.

I have a raw trucker.  yes it bleeds onto lighter shades, at least it did when i was idiotic enough to use a backpack.

Anyone know what the weight of the low-straight once-washed denim is? All of my denim is RRL, and since I don't know the exact weight of any of it, I have trouble figuring it out. I figured maybe 14.5-15oz?
