Can any of you fine RRL people in here tell me the name/year of this piece please?

shit, i checked out all the major stores for RRL in NYC and lets just say the peeps working/visiting there weren't exactly the poster boys of masculinity so get over yourself.

Well it has to be sometime between 1993 and 1997 (or whatever year it was that RRL stopped being produced initially) but you probably already knew that. Looks like a fine vintage piece - where'd you find it?

Were they ladies? I only buy my denim from fully-bearded men with denim shirts and pants, and leather boots.

I found it in a thrift shop. Any idea where I can find out more about it?

Unfortunately it's almost impossible to find information even from just a couple of seasons back, let alone 15-20 years ago. RL customer service will probably result in a generic email thanking you for contacting them and not much else.

What kind of info do you need? Is there anything written on the interior labels? It looks absolutely genuine if that's what you're concerned about. I seem to remember RRL produced a cardigan (or something like that) in a very similar design a year or two ago.

Nice thrifting sir!

Good luck finding out more.  It is a beautiful piece, though I have absolutely no idea when anybody would ever have a good idea to wear it.  Summer parties at Gatsby's?  Formal pajama events?  This is something I'd buy, then wear around my apartment with sweats while my wife makes fun of me.

Hey 46n2, that piece is beautiful. Post the labels, clearly, any supply chain coded labels or garment tags. I'll see what I can find out for you, don't get your hopes up like others have said, but its possible a contact of mine may know.

If you have to try this hard to wear the brand then it's probably not for you. And the dipshit looking for sweatpants and a Henley is just that, a dipshit.

While I may agree with you about the poster and the ridiculous # of posts regarding a certain pair of sweatpants, it may or may not have resulted in OP finding a pair...I guess persistence pays.

However I disagree with only procuring your RRL from a RL store as the only way to acquire it. With your attempt to ridicule posters here for whatever means they use to either reacquire an item that passed them by originally or was originally priced more then they wished to spend while at the same time passive aggressively trying to allude what a high roller you are is laughable and a little desperate IMO. This is Style Forum not look at me I pay retail for the same look forum.

In conclusion to continue to post the thread after your drive by name calling (amateur, hacks, dipshit) really makes you look like the bigger dipshit.

No great loss, because looking at all 11 of your posts you only came here to insult both the thread and thread member and promote your used RRL for sale;  which by the way was one of the things you insulted the members here for buying...curious.

You could have started by adding what you thought the thread was missing at first then maybe everyone here would have listened to some constructive criticism instead of going on the definsive. I am for moving this thread away from the more then at least 1000 posts of how RRL jeans fit etc etc...lol

P.S. I alway like to see what items RRL members actually own and how they wear their collection.

Given the label design it looks to be from somewhere btwn. 1997 and 2002 when they changed label graphics. Its size large which means it should fit similar to a modern XL. Never seen a blanket design in a shawl collar tuxedo style. Very weird jacket.

Thanks! That info on cust. service is helpful. smile.gif I was interested in the name of it so I can figure out where someone would wear it or what it's intended purpose was. It's such an interesting piece, it has me a bit baffled. Just wanted some more info on it. No interior labels besides the obvious one.

That's exactly it...I wouldn't know where to wear it except around the house with the wifey. rotflmao.gif
