They had a kind of lighter blue waffle on the site for $60 for a little while, but it went back to $125. Maybe that one will go back on sale soon, or at the end of the season. I bought the darker grayish-navy waffle one--it's OK, I don't think I'd pay $125 for it. I don't love the collar; it seems to standup slightly when wearing it. If you're not looking for a specific style of henley, I recommend checking out the wings+horns henleys. Unfortunately no waffle ones available this season (or next).

Congrats on both purchases. That new seasonal icon looks a lot like the deadstock cotton work pant.

Dastig, do you know if the material is the same?

I do love the officer chino cut though, so I think I will need a pair of these new ones.
(I for one know better than to get in a contest with you for wear in these pants. You only need one challenger and you will be proudly wearing prawns on your loins again biggrin.gif)

That moto is awesome. Fit pics?
Go ahead and through it over your new gunmetal chinos...

I was tempted to try on the moto ($1800?)but was told it fits tts which satisfied my curiosity.

Chino is a 10.5oz fabric

Only think I dislike with the officer chino is the disproportionately large leg open relative to the slim thigh

Bah, forgot how shitty the buttons were; already lost 2

That is disappointing. The deadstock pants and even some of the other officer cut pants use posts instead of the buttons. That was one of my favorite details. I thought perhaps they had decided to make that improvement across the line, but apparently not.

I tried on the moto jacket yesterday in Chicago while hanging out with Dastig. Fit is TTS and slim and the jacket is amazing. He told me they already sold a bunch of them at full price but if one is around still when they go on sale I might grab one

They look awesome dude. Which button fell off - the fly?
Yes sir.

Fabric reminds of the more recent APC stuff; thin and rigid

Did you go 4 sizes small to allow for the stretch or something?! Seems shite that they would be falling off already...

This is my greatest fear when buying expensive pants and shirts. haha

I have had the buttons fall off of three different (properly sized) officer's chinos, all of which occurred within the first few wears. I would say its a pretty serious issue that RRL needs to address.

lol8[1].gif

I actually went tts and will have waist
/leg openkng taken in. The button holes are super stiff and barely large enough.

Buttons couldnt hold up to a single night of boozing and multiple impromptu/hurried sidewalk restroom breaks

You just gotta sew the buttons on tighter
