The people here who claim to get free shipping either are preferred customers of the SA, or spend a lot more money than just buying 1 accessory.
Nothing is "free", RL has to pay to ship each item, in many instances they can see that keeping a customer who buys a lot of merchandise happy, free shipping is just a minor expense and gets deducted from their profits, not the SAs commissions, in your case you bought 1 accessory and that just doesn't warrant free shipping. Deal with it.
Hardly worth saying your experience "was not good at all" because you didn't get a perverse free shipping entitlement..
Woah...
My only experience is buying from the website, which has always had free shipping anytime I've bought something.
Living 2 hours from the store and paying $15 ground shipping on a $130 item (that could fit in an envelope) just rubbed me the wrong way. Not putting down RRL or it's preferred customers or anything, but as sad as it sounds...$15 is money that I could really use (I know i know...shouldn't be buying rrl in the first place then haha).
It costs about $2 to send something that size first class, that far (I do it all the time). I would have been fine paying that $2. Not sure why they need to charge $13 for "handling". That's why I got upset. That's why my experience buying from the store was not good compared to other RRL purchase.
And I could use the same logic...they give free shipping to "preferred" customers as a nod for their business...why is it wrong for me to expect free shipping to keep me around, and possibly eventually become one of those big spenders?
Sorry for the rant, just wanted to cleat that up. Wasn't looking for "entitlement".
