A heads up for anyone that may have purchased the Powell chukkas or the Washington boots. Since they look like they are similar construction and use the same manufacturer. Today I received the RRL Powell chukkas. Nice looking shoes, kind of unique, great leather. They fit well and I really like them. I would probably keep them except I noticed one of them makes a clicking noise as I walk. Turns out that when I flex the sole in a twisting motion that causes the noise. I believe they have a steel shank and it is loose. Hopefully no one else has this issue.
I haven't experienced that problem... I bought both the Washington and Clifton boots as part of the sale in size 13. I usually wear a 14, but found that the Washington boot ran large enough that 13 worked. The Clifton seems to run a little smaller on me (mostly in length). Thinking of having them stretched - has anyone had any luck having boots stretched?
