I haven't experienced that problem... I bought both the Washington and Clifton boots as part of the sale in size 13. I usually wear a 14, but found that the Washington boot ran large enough that 13 worked. The Clifton seems to run a little smaller on me (mostly in length). Thinking of having them stretched - has anyone had any luck having boots stretched?

 I actually looked twice to check the size and wife thought the moment I took jacket out of suit bag it would be to small. Since the length is right I wonder if the XL would look sloppy. The leather is actually stiffer then expected and would have been fun breaking in! facepalm.gif

 

 

If anyone gets one in small that's too small on them I'd love to get it! (I usually have the opposite problem with things not being small enough)

What were your measurements (see first quote) from then?

I had thought you had the jacket and it fit. A previous version?

You must return those for either replacement or a refund. The shank in the sole is loose and wasn't set properly. This will cause the boot to creak and click. The fix is very expensive as the sole must be opened up and the shank seated again. Not worth the time or trouble.

Thanks. They are already on their way back. Made in USA, kind of disappointing.

Hrmm I've had this happen with my combat boots before but the clicking problem went away on its own and I don't notice anything structurally wrong with them.
