ok guys, I posted a big post about the difference in the murdock boots, but it said a moderator has to approve it so I would guess it will show up at some point.

That said, it you like it I'd grab it when it goes on sale. It is still pretty nice by normal standards. But... If the blue cable knit is anything like the Lighthouse hooded sweater from a few seasons back, it's much nicer.

Thanks a lot for a great review/comparison. Very detailed and interesting. It confirms the impression I got from the pics.

I've got the brown RRLs and am very happy with them. But indeed the leather is very very stiff making the taking on and off especially in the beginning very cumbersome.

no problem. I'm just hoping the new style will fade over time like the julians will.

Sizing on the new ones doesnt seem to be too consistant either. I have two pairs of the brown ones in size 8 right now, one fits TTS like a glove and the other fits like its an 8.5

Thanks Hoit for the link as the pictures are nice for perspective...they even made that jersey vest look less Marlboro manny. Maybe RRL themselves should adopt this idea . That cable dunkinely is very nice!

Website not allowed to sell RRL online so a long distance call to Holland involved as well.
