You think it's petty I stalk outlet managers but you are stalking me? Signed up for the forums just to call me out? Hypocrite much? What are you trying to achieve here my new brunswick friend?

I am not stalking you. You are posting on a public forum that I read. I am not timing your lunch breaks and calling your job with a fake accent to see if you are there.

I know there are more than three. I said the bigger three that have been established for a while with a lot of merchandise.

I give solid tips on the forums on how to optimize your trip to the outlet store. Many members PM me and use this information so they can maximize their productivity when taking long and far away trips to their outlets.

If you think I share interesting information on the public forums just imagine what the kinds of things I know about from an operations perspective that I am not sharing as well as my previous work experience with PRL.

And there are 17 established polo resellers based out of SoFla on ebay and 8 that deal predominately with RRL.

What's your point about with the first two sections? I don't need your "tips."

I haven't counted the number of resellers in South Florida, so you got me there. I still think you are the_denim_vault, and so do a lot of others on this forum.

So what do you need..?

Why are you here?

Are you a reseller?

Ebay shopper?

This guy?

I don't think anyone here particularly cares what my ebay ID is and they would be incorrect to think i'm DV. But do believe what you want.

I'm not sure it's any more illegal than a stealership buying a GTR or Turbo S then marking them up $20-30k above MSRP. After all, it is a "suggested" price and since BP isn't an authorized dealer of RRL he can't be penalized by RL for price gouging and ebay doesn't care.

I'm not a law expert but if it is in fact illegal in CA wouldn't he have to follow laws from where he is located (MI)?

The point isn't that he isn't selling at MSRP, but that he would intentionally mislead you as to what the MSRP was, under the theory that you would be willing to pay his discounted price in comparison to his phony MSRP.  There have been similar lawsuits in California over misrepresentation of pricing, especially with outlets.

It's totally different than a dealership - which itself could be sued under California's unfair practices act if, for example, it completely altered the manufacturer's sticker to induce you into thinking you were getting a good deal.  Selling above a "suggested" price isn't the problem, but lying about what a MSRP price is, given the importance placed on that price in the industry, would reasonably be concluded as being deceptive and misleading.  It's the lying to induce you into that deal that subjects a seller to suit.  BP has no legal duty to tell you what MSRP is or to sell at any price at all, but if he decides advertise and is deceptive or misleading in his ad, that's the problem.

He is in MI, but could possibly be sued under the California long arm statutes because he intentionally subjects himself to the law by advertising for sales in California through eBay. No one will ever do anything about it, but it's interesting nonetheless.  Can you say class action, LOL?
