Any idea if the cotton watch caps will be discounted as the season wraps up? Can't find them in stock anywhere but rl.com.

I don’t recall the cotton ones going on sale at Ralph site. Also consider the Rototo indigo ones. I like those a lot too. They usually go on sale.

Milworks has all colors of the RRL ones available. No sales tax depending upon where you live.

Many items offered under the Purple Label or RRL brands are produced by highly specialised sub-contracted manufacturers. For example many RLPL shirts are made by Lorenzini, the highest quality RLPL shoes used to be made by Edward Green or by Crockett and Jones (not any more), suits and sport coats (among others) by Corneliani, so on and so on. If you want to gain insight as who makes what for Ralph Lauren, then this is a good thread to read:

https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...-definitive-guide.94886/page-59#post-11564197

Such RLPL leather jackets are likely only designed by RL, but are likely made by one of the best manufacturers of leather jackets in the world, and then offered under an RL sub-brand at a huge markup.
Thanks for the write-up and link. I knew many of their items were sub-contracted, but don't know any details beyond that basic knowledge. Will look into it, may be useful to find the same quality items at a better price.

I would be surprised if they do even 1000 of each seasonal shirt to be honest. Paris shop is like all the time out of stock in some sizes so my guess is each shop has like 2-3 pieces of each size at best...but I might be wrong, if someone has a reliable information I would love to know.
You're probably right. I have seen shirts and other items run low on stock on their own website shortly after release. Many (if not most) of the items on my saved list have "low stock" status and often just 1 or 2 pieces remaining in my size.

It seems very likely that Studebaker metals makes cuffs for RRL as I've handled both and they seem very very similar. At 100% mark up ofc

Thanks for the tips! Will definitely check those out. Just noticed my hotel is in that area, so even better :).

Someone posted photos of a Purple Label pilot jacket they acquired. It's super high quality and absolutely stunning. That jacket reminds me a little bit of that one, but on a whole different level. It retails for over 6000 euros.

I wonder how the quality of this Purple Label pilot jacket is versus a Pilot Jacket from brands specializing in those jackets, like Toys McCoys or Eastman Leather. Jackets from those brands are half the price. Do you think Purple Label did it better than the "experts"? Not sure if they are even comparable in terms of fit, style, etc. (not an expert on jackets). Anyway, amazing jacket:

That was me. I have this PL jacket and the quality and fit is unbelievable, it's also ridiculously warm.

As much as I love the RRL range and it's is my favourite brand atm, this jacket is on another level. Is it better then an Areo or Eastman leather? I don't know, but for me the fit is perfect as is the finish.

Hope this helps.........

I was also going to say if your around the RRL Newburgh Street area, that's my neck of the woods. I would recommend you check out clutch cafe and Drakes, details below no connections to me btw:--

Clutch Cafe London

Drake's

There's also Rivet and Hyde and Son of a stag.

Stuff I got from sale complete with bad bathroom mirror pics.

Corduroy jacket. I ordered this in both L and XL. I received the L last week. It fit like one would want a regular sport coat to fit.
I didn't really like it and sent it back. But a few days ago the XL arrived. I thought it would be too big but I dig the slouchy fit.
I have to get the arms shortened a bit. I like the hand warmer pockets. My wife, the enabler, convinced me to keep it.

Limited edition suede. Pretty lightweight. Smells a bit funky.but is already dissipating. Fit is similar other rrl type 1 denim jackets.. I like this but I'm not blown away by it and given the price I might return it. Need to think about it.

I also got the coated denim puffy vest. That has become an instant favorite. Fabric is cool if a bit funky feeling.
I ended up keeping it.
There was a matching hat too.

I don't have experience with the "Hawk" model, but a few years ago I had a pair of "Clint" gunpowder black jeans from Indigofera and they were great to wear with boots. In general Indigofera makes good stuff, I especially like their flannel shirts. Second Sunrise have good pictures of Indigofera products: https://secondsunrise.se/products/indigofera-clint-jeans-gunpowder?variant=46500606804295
