High-protein food recommendations

I am tired of grazing on high-carb stuff with little protein. I want to consume as few calories as possible in order to remain satiated. What should I buy? All I can think of is almonds.

I wouldn't consider nuts a 'hi-protein' food since they have 3x more (healthy) fat than protein per serving. Cheese, hard boiled eggs, cold cuts (turkey, chicken, etc.), beef jerky, eggs, and eggs.

Tuna fish + a little (light, if you're watching calories) mayo If you're looking for something filling, vegetables are good

If you just want something in your mouth, rice cakes or some other styrofoamy food.

I like tuna in the foil packs for protein-on-the-go. There is less mess, and you just throw the pack away (no guilt about not recycling). But you will need a fork (or a spoon (well, I ate it with my hands once)).

Dry oatmeal, but again you run into needing a spoon.

Peanuts may be your best choice. Try to find some not smothered in salt. Or trail mix in general.

How about a bag of raw veggies? No protein, but healthy, and you can easily eat them without forks or spoons. No need to keep them refridgerated. Available at all growcery stores.

Nuts are a great source of fat and will help relieve your hunger, but they aren't a great source of protien. If i could eat hard boiled eggs without wanting to throw up, I would. Tuna in a bag is good. Jerkey is good, but the sodium content is too high to be eating often in my eyes.

Protein bars...kind of expensive, but they're very filling, and should be just what you're looking for.

Most protein bars have 20-30g of carbs each.

I just have a can of tuna every couple of hours.
