So this summer me and my girlfriend are traveling around Europe. She's going to be in Paris for 2 months working before I get there. Once I get in we plan on traveling for about 2 or 3 weeks around Europe. My schedule is as follows: Paris- 2 days Nice- 3 days Venice- 4 days Copenhagen- 2 days Brussels- 2 days Paris- 2 days If any of you have recommendations on places to eat, attractions to see, places to avoid or just things to avoid doing please let me know. I've never been to Europe and getting out of this trip not disappointed/bored/robbed would be nice. Keep in mind that I am working with a fairly limited budget, I'd say around 4-5k for both me and my girlfriend. Fire away gentlemen.

Trip Around Europe, Let Me Know What to See

I think it would help if you gave more information on what your interestes are (history, museum, scenery, ...) . Personaly, I think this seems a bit imbalanced in two ways: First, you are spending more time in Nice than in Brussels or Copehnagen, and probably too long in Venice. Second, it seems as if you are trying to see to many places, the trave will be exhausting and you don't stay long enough to enjoy the place.

Agreed. You don't have as much time as you think, especially if you have to factor in the transit. I'd start by cutting out the furthest-flung destinations: Copenhagen and Venice. I'd also cut out Brussels - I personally didn't care much for it, unless you're into EU buildings or something. If you're desperate to get to Belgium, go to Bruges instead.
That gives you 8 days to play with. Travel time to London on the Eurostar is negligible, so give that 2 or 3 days I'd say. If you're interested in history you should also try to get to Normandy - I believe just a day trip from Paris.
Bruges, as I noted, is very quaint and could be a nice getaway place with your girlfriend. Luxembourg is not too far either, if you wanted to check off another country; it's nice enough but not a terrible lot to do there. Switzerland is near too, so you could get there and spend a little time without cramping the rest of your trip.
You gave Venice a lot of time so I'm guessing you want to see Italy. If that's the case, you can always pop over to the Cinque Terre. I haven't done it myself, but I've heard there's a gorgeous train ride from Nice. If you must go to Venice, I agree that 4 days is probably too much.
(As an aside, your girlfriend might want to get out of Paris since she's spending a while, but for you - I spent 6 days hitting the tourist sites when I backpacked and it was barely enough. It's a big city and there is a LOT to see)

As others said, I wouldnt give 3 days to Nice or 4 days to Venice.
And why Copenhagen?
I would rearrange and do something like
Paris
Eurostar into London
1 hour flight to Amsterdam (maybe a day in Brussels / Brugge)
budget airline to either Italy / Spain
Train ride back up, to Paris stopping in a couple of small towns

Too many places IMHO, no way to get a full immersion into a place's life.
Based in Paris you can go to London, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Marseille and then Nice (and maybe Cinque Terre) by train (all high speed TGV from Paris except Nice and 5 Terre).
Or change your target and decide to visit places in France closer to Paris, Loire, Bretagne and London/Bruges/Amsterdam which are an easy train trip.

As everybody else has said, four days in Venice is too much. If you're into food, you should definitely make sure you go to Belgium. Brussels is the only place I've been there, and there were some great eats. Edit: Seconding that you should consider adding Barcelona to the list in lieu of, say, Copenhagen.

i would stick to france only. definitely see the chateaux versailles. it is my favorite place in the whole world. spend an entire day there and buy the pass that allows you into everything.
if you do 3 weeks, you may want to lease a car in paris and drive south. see bordeaux, nice, marseilles, monaco, avignon, all that...
leasing gives you a much better rate on the car, and they give you a brand new one with 2 miles on it, but you have to keep it at least 17 or 18 days.

I would just do Paris (I'm sure your gal wouldnt mind taking you around even tho she is well acquainted with the city), London and a 3rd city of your choice
better to actually see and experience a city then just go thru a tour in a whirlwind just to later be able to say "I was there there there there there there and there"

Agree. Third city should be Rome.

+1.
went to Paris and Zurich recently, and was only able to spend 2 days of the trip in Paris. not nearly enough time to experience the city. it seems like you want to get in as much as possible whilst there, i too would suggest Paris, London, and a 3rd city of your choice within decent travel time.
